I'd take Ryan Swope here...which is weird, another Swope/Denard battle.

Hell, take em both.

The Lions need a polished slot WR ala Welker and Swope does play on special teams.

Not sure if Denard is AS needed with Reggie Bush now on the roster. Nonetheless, he's explosive and I would seriously consider taking them both.

Michigan's lowest start in the draft ever was 2009 when Terrance Taylor was picked at #136 overall.

Currently on 133 right now....

Would be great if a team that is incorporating more spread concepts into the game takes Denard.  A  team like SF, SEA, NE, or PHI would be great places for him to be used creatively.

Sad.  No Denard.  Plus side: we pick again very soon.

I actually do not think we'll pass on Denard in the 5th.

On the other hand. that's not true.  I sort of expect us to get a WR here, but someone who can play as a true WR opposite CJ.

This late we're getting into the project picks, wouldn't mind picking up Brandon Jenkins, Reid Fragel, Graham Pocic, or BWC. They've all shown great determination and athletecism.

shit.  and to the team I probably like the least!  What a shitty team - worse than the Lions.

However, his family gets to keep him close, and that's good for him and them.  Happy for the family, not for the Lions or Denard.

Only following online and wondered with them taking Ace Sanders already if they might be thinking of Denard as a running back. I honestly think it's a better fit for him than WR and a spot where he should be able to do some things quickly. Easier to teach him blocking than all the nuances of route running, and lord knows he can explode through the hole.
