OT: NFL Divisional Playoffs Open Thread

Submitted by Broken Brilliance on

The Ravens currently have a 17-13 lead over the Texans halfway through the fourth quarter. Kickoff at Lambeau is in about 40 minutes. For what it's worth, Carl from ATHF has picked the Football Giants to emerge with a  win this evening.

Did anyone else notice the entire crowd in Baltimore start yelling "REEEEEEDDDDD" even before he picked that ball? The whole stadium knew what was coming, players, fans... except for TJ Yates. Poor guy. Ed Reed is sick nasty good

I'm not even a Texan fan and I'm angry with him! I know he's a rookie but man did he make some bonehead decisions. His line was blocking for him, he wasn't sacked once so it's not like he should have been hearing footsteps. Great game by the Texans O-line, D-line, great game by Foster...it wasn't all Yates's fault but man....

Have you watched them at all?  With them it's a 15% chance of a pick or a 75% chance of a big gain.  There is no middle ground whatsoever.  They had their fluky little run through the playoffs and then took turns this year seeing which one could get scorched the most by any half-decent QB-WR combo.

Ive watched this team enough to know they havent played up to their potential this year and that they will be fine with the current core group of players back there, especially if collins comes back from injury, and they find someone not named bush to take over the woodson rover role. Calling last year flukey is not worthy of a response, hater.

You can't blame losing Collins for the complete defensive meltdown, how many players on defense were out with injury last year? How many linebackers? Look at Green Bay's defensive numbers the last 4-5 years and tell me which season doesn't fit with the others? You guessed it: 2010

Packer tears are delicious.

I hate that f-ing team.  Don Majkowski.  Cursing the NFL with Brett Favre.  Sterling Sharpe in the Silverdome to tie, then beat the Lions.

Hopefully they will get rid of those stupid-ass State Farm commercials as well.

My boys didn't let the refs steal this game and try to let "America's team" win.   And now its time to get revenge for the playoff game the refs stole from us in 2003 against the 9'ers with the bullshit no call pass interference on the botched field goal.

Good job by the Giants to get rid of the most cloyingly obnoxious team in the NFL.  But now I'm pulling for the Niners, because since 2002, ten different NFC teams have gone to the Super Bowl, and I want it to run to eleven in a row.

I love that all the experts gave the G-men and Niners no chance against the super human Packers and Saints.  Can't wait until tomorrow to here them all back-tracking.  Go Giants.  Still have to say my favorite player was Mark Bavaro, loved that guy as a kid.  Giants vs. Niners  should be a great game.

Giants Vs. Patriots take Two!

I'm with ya. Bavaro was my favorite as a kid too. Toughest mutha out there. The play where he carried al of those 49ers down the field will forever be etched in my brain. Simms to Bavaro in the seam was always money.
