OT: NFL begging Favre to come back
The NFL just released the full 2010 schedule today, and the Vikings were given a "Favre, please, please, please come back" schedule.
Highlights include four!!! primetime games:
1) at the Saints, in a NFC championship rematch. Also, the first game of the NFL season (Thu before opening Sun).
2) at the NY Jets, Favre's former team.
3) at the Packers, Favre's formet team.
4) vs the Chicago Bears, Favre's longtime rival.
I'm really hoping he comes back. Despite my love for Michigan, Favre is still my favorite football player (and has been since I was 7 years old).
The NFL scheduled the Vikings to play BOTH the Packers and the Bears?
Bastards!
Yeah, TWICE too.
F'n Goodell. Next thing you know he'll schedule the Lions to play Farve twice as well.
Way to set up the schedule strictly for Brett you ass hat.
No wonder it's the No Fun League. JEEZ!
To the op- congrats on your favorite player being the single biggest prima donnna in sports.
Sorry, that was dicky, but I'm sick of his yearly ego stroking charade and the sports networks fanning the flames.
He meant that the Vikings are playing PRIMETIME games against them, not just that they were on the schedule.
Or because the Bears and Packers are both in the NFC North with the Vikings, the Vikings and Saints both were #1 in their division so they play each other again, and the NFC North plays the AFC East this year.
I think Favre comes back for another year. When put on the spot, I don't think he will be able to go out like he did last year. The Vikings would be happy to have him back as well.
I hear Vinny Testaverde is looking to make a comeback.
He had his best statistical season in years. He should, and will come back and the Vikings will be in the hunt for the NFC Championship again.
He'll come back. He just wants people talking about him. He's an attention whore.

with Green Bay. He's one of our greatest players and I truely miss him in the Beau. But we didn't want him, it happens.

but you do sound like a spurned lover.

I grew up an old miss fan, but I always loved Schembechler and Michigan's beatings on OSU so that is how I came to be a Michigan fan. As for Green Bay I have always loved the Packers. Know that sounds weird coming from the mouth of a son of a farmer but Favre was and still is my favorite quarterback in the NFL. My idol was Joe Montana when I was a kid but Favre was my main man during the good old years up in the Bay but now I have to go with Rodgers. Do I hate Favre? No. Do I hate his choice he made, yes most certainly so.

You, my friend, chose some interesting teams growing up.

Does it sound weird coming from a son of a farmer outside of Wisconsin? Yes. Madison is the second largest city in the state, and when I lived there I saw plenty of Roundup ads on local television.
Somewhat oddly, I've met a lot of Packers fans in Ontario. At least some of it has to do with where they could hear the Packers games on the radio.

Favre is coming back but he will be playing bandit in Minnesota's new 3-3-5 defense.

comeback Favre, come back to throw more hypercritical picks to Tracy Porter after your unit gets called for a catastrophically idiotic too-many-men in the huddle penalty
WITH THE SUPER BOWL ON THE LINE!!!!
damn. I need to go attend some games at the Superdome this year.
gloriousssssssssssss
WHO DAT
Who watches the NFL these days? Sunday is for talking about what happened in football on Saturday.
Six Zero.
I also like to watch Michigan Men do their thing on Sunday (who cares what team they play for?)
Personally, I'm happiest when ESPN has a special "FAVRE" ticker on its bottom line.
