OT- The New Yorker story on QB guru Steve Clarkson

Submitted by Section 1 on

I'm a New Yorker subscriber, so it isn't clear to me if this article will be fully available without subscriber access, but I think it is*:

Another Ben McGrath high school/prep football story, no doubt a spinoff from his New Yorker story some months ago on Don Bosco Prep in New Jersey.

This one is about the private virtual QB academy run by southern California guru Steve Clarkson.  Featured is David Sills V, who is the kid who got so much notoriety when Lane Kiffin made him USC's first seventh-grade offeree (Class of 2015).  I'd have preferred more Kiffin-snark content, but my tastes for USC-snark run very high.

*[Edit. - just tried it again after logging out and I think it is subscriber-limited past the abstract.  It is the current issue of The New Yorker, so it is on newsstands everywhere, and it will likely be fully available online in the future...]

Ugh.  And I was just about to shut 'er down and head home.

Okay, just a friendly reminder this time since you're new:  Please, please, please do not post anything that is likely to give rise to a political discussion.  The article you link is interesting (I guess) but not kosher on this here website.  Let me know if you have any questions after reading the MGoFAQ as Mike mentions above.  Also, the comment is completely off-topic as well.

To summarize, stay on-topic and do not post political.

Democrats are really stretching it on this one.  I guess that is what you have to do when you have no track record to run on.
