I know this is marked as "OT" and that's fine...but why do we care that Kirk Cousins is going to be on the radio?  I wish we were at a point where we wouldn't care that a 4th round pick from Michigan State was going to make a radio appearance...

Point taken.  In fairness I only care because I listen to this radio program every morning and he happens to be on this morning.  I'm not on Cousins watch.  But, considering the amount of press he gets on the site, "Coupons" the Cousins Memee etc.  I figured it would be harmless to share particularly compared to the "I dread mondays" and "Help me find an apartment" posts.  At least the guy is an actual football player.

First, the "other people are doing stupid shit, so that makes my shit seem less stupid" rationale is a weak one.  Beyond this, at least those random posts don't do anything to make MGoBlog as a whole look (even more) like a stalker ex-girlfriend with regards to Kirk Cousins.  Your post does.

But since this is on a radio program you listen to regularly, I guess it does make sense that other people might care about it ...

EDIT:  One last addendum.  Remember when, even after Mike Hart graduated, MSU fans would talk shit about how short he was and how we wouldn't make it in the pros, and it made them look pretty pathetic because, after all, he beat them four years in a row?  Man, Sparty gon' Spart, amirite?

unless I don't manage to post in one before it is deleted. I don't think to OT or not OT is the topic, it is just the fact that it's Cousins. Trust me when I tell you we know that a lot of people have posted about him. A lot of people do a lot of things - be different, be the guy who didn't post it.

cousins is a whiner and so i like to listen for purely schadenfruede reasons.  schadenfruede is now my favorite word and brians schadenfruede posts during the season are reason for living.  cousins on the radio is a schade-op and i there simply aren't enough of them to miss a single one.

Maybe at a point we were but I doubt it will ever be like that again. I'm from Iowa and am an Iowa State fan as well as Michigan fan. Since I am a fan of those teams, I see this big brother/little brother relationship from both sides. Just like Iowa likes to pretend they don't care about ISU, UM likes to pretend they don't care about MSU. The fact is, though, that as long as both are division 1 schools and they continue to play each other there will be a rivalry and both will care about said rivalry. It's a fun dynamic on both sides.

Why would we care?  I'm sure hardly any of us here are Redskin fans, and none of us except for some trolls (and a few Sparties on here that don't cause trouble) care about Kork Coupons.  I enjoy picking on the Spartans whenever I get a chance, but taking time out of my day to listen to a radio interview of our former rival QB is definitely the kind of obssesion I would except from a RCMB post.  We just don't need that here.

Someone please, please let me know exactly what's in that radio interview.  Even better, let's get Heiko to transcribe it.

Also, I've long wondered why we don't have more Kirk Cousins Twitter updates on here.  Is anyone his Facebook friend?   What we really need is to figure out where he's going to be living in D.C. ...

There should be a running tally of posts on MSU and OSU made here. You'd wonder how it could be claimed that this board cares more about OSU. Even on a day when OSU lost their bowl game and MSU won theirs the MSU bowl thread demolished the OSU one on number of posts.

If you don't care about a topic posted to the board, don't click on it.......  I am actually curious to hear his comments on being drafted by the Redskins, since they already drafted a QB

I was at Subway yesterday in west Michigan. I had my "We Bleed Blue" shirt on and a young girl of about 10 says "I like your shirt" and I, of course, say thank you. Her dad turns and says "Oh well I bleed green." I just smile and say "Most people around here do." He says "I can't believe Washington took two starting quaterbacks! I wonder who the starter is going to end up being next year." My mind was so blown I could barely order my veggie delight. Spartan fans are different because their minds are broken. They actually believe the impossible is a reality and get pissed when it doesn't happen. Psychopaths.

/CSB, but still...

While I like to mock Coupons as much anyone on here, the guy is a winner. He was a 2*/3* athlete that took his opportunities and made the most of them, to the point where he got himself drafted. Though there are a lot of reasons for why this happened, the fact is that he did beat us each time he started against us, and left State in a far better position than when he came. If he continues to work hard he can make it in the NFL.

...the link provided by the OP took me to the download site for the Radio.com app on my iPad. The interesting thing about that is that I actually already have the app, so I must conclude that my iPad is a compassionate device and wished to spare me (and indeed, perhaps the link being useless spares us regardless of device - truly, a sign that this blog is becoming sapient life).

Don't let his name fool you.  He's actually had some pretty good posts and comments, and as far as I have seen since he's been here, he's decievingly not an antagonistic poster.  I think this is a momentarily lapse in judgement where an idea for a thread sounded much better on paper to him than it did actually on the blog for everyone else.

It's unfortunate that in the 21st century, so many of the board members continue to discriminate against people based solely on the color of their jersey.  For shame.

Not sure why this is big news.  Obviously, a lot of people here dislike Kork, but how is he even getting a radio date?  He was the 4th round pick and is guaranteed not to start next season barring an injury.

I actually think this was a good pick-up for the Redskins, but this just doesn't seem like big news to me, I'm surprised it got on the radio

im a redskins fan and i dont care about cousin being on the radio. the only thing i care about with him is he does a good job as a backup for 3-4 years and then we can trade him for a 2nd round pick.
