OT: ND Schadenfreude

Submitted by 1464 on

[on Kelly] Who are you going to get to replace him ? Seriously ? WHO??????

Who would want this job? It's like going to fight opponents who are on steroids with two hands tied behind your back.

USC, Ohio St, Michigan, Miami, FSU, Oklahoma, Texas, and the entire SEC have absolutely no restrictions. You don't need to know how to read. You don't have to go to class. They have majors like doobie rollin and pimpology. They can let anyone in, they can let anyone go. They have better looking girls who take their panties off easier. And on and on it goes.

It really is hilarious to say the least.

ND needs to drop those teams. ND needs to drop Michigan St. and Michigan as well.

Teams that ND should be playing every year are:

Duke, Minnesota, Rutgers, Army, Navy, Indiana, Rice, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Boston College, Pitt, Washington St.

___

[on Rees] Hopefully this guy will get lost somewhere and never show up at ND again. Take Kelly with him.

___

Rees needs to be taken to the glue factory.

Any other items we can get a laugh out of on a Friday morning?

I believe I read somewhere that the restrictions on ND for acceptance have been lowered since Kelly arrived on the scene. Some of the alum are not happy about this situation. I don't remember where I read this.

..........but I hooked up with my fair share of girls who would be considered "attractive" by anyone's definition. I also hooked up with my fair share of girls who would be considered "unattractive" by anyone's definition.....

Overall record: 8-4, same as usual. As for who could coach at ND other than Kelly, I don't think there is a good answer for this anymore. From now until I pass, when I think ND, I will think "purple-headed coach".

Rudy, Freakbass and the Fighting Figure Skaters support you!

Also, the media (I'm assuming this was a media article?) are making excuses for you. How much lower can you go?

ND's high standards are way overstated.  They often get top ten recruiting classes and they do accept kids with poor scores.  Blanton a multi-year starter retook the SAT to get up to a 600, I stopped following him on the recruiting sites after he committed to ND and maybe he got a decent score on his 3rd or 4th try, but he literally improved his SAT score UP to a 600 on his 2nd try...when he accepted to ND.  That score is literally like randomly guessing on every single question and somehow it was an improvement from his first attempt.

The Orlando Sentinnel use to rank football programs based on academic entrance standards on a 1-10 scale.  Notre Dame came in on a respectable 7 rating...but most of their typical opponents also came in with a 7 or higher ranking...including Michigan, Army (West Point), Navy (Annapolis Naval Academy), BYU, Penn State, BC, UCLA, Stanford, Air Force, Pitt, and etc...

I love that list of teams as it basically means if it wasnt for our sweetheart deal with the BCS we are a mid major program ala Boise/TCU that needs to go 14-0 to reach a BCS game.  Fuck off ND and I hope to *your touchdown jesus* that this deal between the Big 10 and the Pac 12 makes you even more irrelevent.

Nice job placing michigan into a category of academically "easy" schools. This is some tremendous schadenfreud, don't worry ND Lou Holtz will be pre season placing you into a BCS bowl soon enough

Loved Holtz at halftime making excuses for ND crappy offensive showing by saying that they were playing vanilla offence because they knew that FSU couldn't score 7 on the ND defence.  Mark May then called him out by saying that "throwing from 1st and goal on the 4 just to have it picked is not playing vanilla"!  First time in years I enjoyed anything that May had to say.

It is actually starting to really annoy me that ESPN keeps Holtz on staff despite his blatant and unrivaled homerism.  In terms of strength of rose colored glasses, the rankings are a normal homer fan, then the actual coach of a team, then Lou Holtz for ND.  It's absurd.  He seems like a nice enough guy but I think he might be my most hated analyst on tv, and that includes deepest to deepest Spielman.

Too funny. Every time they lose a game they pretend they are only allowed to recruit Irish Catholic valedictorians.

Also, it's been my experience that Catholic girls remove their panties at roughly the same rate as the rest of the population.

Let's see.  Mike Davies, Tyrone Willingham, Charlie Weis, Brian Kelly, annual top ten recruiting classes despite yearly disappointment, high retention rate of top players like Te'o.

Obviously ND isn't taking part in any extracurricular recruiting activity, and the problem is all those shit players that they have to keep running on the field.

Nice how ND meltdowns always have to sneak in a soupçon of racism. I dedicate that bowl loss to your eggplant-faced coach and those bonehead fans who make the rest of ND look bad.

<br>But never mind me, I'm just bent that UM didn't offer Doobie Rollin' as a 500-level course. Way to screw over Grad students .

Such a subject at a world-class research institute makes us the leaders and best in pimping too. No doubt someone on Central Campus is developing new methodologies for pimping right now. The ND emo-whine can't win here...even our pimps have higher GPAs.

Indiana has the same restrictions as Notre Dame? If theres one sure way for me to start my day off half confused and half pissed off, it's certainly to ask a Notre Dame fan for his two cents.
