OT: ND commit Elijah Hood has some fun with Bama

Submitted by wresler120 on

Notre Dame commit Elijah Hood caused a stir on twitter tonight with his Roll Toilet video. Alot of people were commenting about him taking it too far by some of his comments, but he said it was all in fun. I'm thinking he may have wanted to trash talk a program outside one that decimated the Irish not too long ago. The video reminds me of the stir Logan Tuley Tillman created last year when he burned THE LETTER.

One comment that really seemed to cause an uproar:

@Ian_Leo_M @natt_norm The sound of getting crushed by bama's what? failing grad rate for African Americans yea makes sense haha #RollToilet

Might not want to talk too much trash about a school and a coach that completely embarrassed and outclassed your future team in every way imaginable only a few months ago.

Of course Bama was superior on the field.  They buy up most of the best players, and the rest of the country takes the leftovers.  Bama gives world class illegal benefits, and then uses every loophole possible for roster management, screwing countless players in the process.

Obviously not an ND fan, but Bama deserves any criticism they get.

And last, but not least, my favorite Nick Saban recruiting move.  Holding bowl practices at HaHA Clinton-Dix and Dee Hart's high school when coaches weren't allowed to contact recruits.  Saban and Alabama were nice enough to upgrade their field and locker room free of charge.

LTT burning an OSU letter was different. His was trashing his new teams biggest rival, this is trashing a team that beat your new teams ass in the title game, totally different levels.

The curse of ND talent. LTT is different in that, well it was a first for a Michigan recruit, ND on the other hand.. Their talent pool is troubled to say the least. I wouldn't make waves in that pool, bad omen.

Ease up on the kid.  He is probably being goaded into defending his choice.  His tweet stressed grad rates for African-American athletes.  As much as it hurts me to defend Notre Dame, their graduation rate is damn good.  Alabama is not bad, but certainly not within reach of Notre Dame.

Sounds like the kid values his education and made his choice based on which school was more likely to get him a degree.  It does make me wonder what he did with his OSU letters though...

He committed at the end of April and Alabama is still recruiting him.  Why is he not allowed to be irritated that they won't leave him alone?  It would be in bad taste if he flushed the letter during a committment ceremony, but once he's picked his school, coaches should know that recruiting him comes with some risk.

It's actually an Auburn based dig. I used to date an Auburn coed and they would always chant, "Roll Tide roll, around the rim and down the hole. War Damn Eagle!"
