OT - NCAA Round 1 and NIT Open Thread
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. S-E-C! S-E-C! S-E- oh wait.
How bout them mid-majors?
How many major violations does Calipari commit on the way to the locker room.
Where is the SEC speed??

The SEC really got screwed this year with no getting more bids and more respect!!! Cry baby bitches...
First ever first round NIT court storming? Hahaha
This is MICHIGAN

to hit the books pack your bags for the D-league.
Sincerely
John "Saban" Calipari
I can't wait to talk to my UK relatives. Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!
Is the entire NIT played on one team's court or do they have a set location for the finals?
for final 4,at least thats how it used to be,Madison Square Garden

Now THAT'S how to rush the court. Nicely done, Bob Morris.
IME no NIT-related qualifier needed. Robert Morris is allowed to rush the court upon beating Kentucky under any circumstance ever.

Morris had the home court advantage for that game as well? Not sure how NIT handles that and seeding, but that is about as low as possible it seems to not have home court for first round NIT game
There was a conflict with Rupp Arena so the game was moved to Robert Morris.

UK gets to watch Louisville at Rupp later this week advance to the Sweet 16. Ouch.
Wonder if Robert Morris fans started chanting NEC! NEC! NEC!
This is highly amusing right now: http://kentucky.rivals.com/forum.asp?sid=888&fid=1383&style=2

Kind of off topic, but is there going to be a "guess the score, win free stuff" thread for the upcoming tournament game?
Kentucky basketball or Kareem Abdul Jabbar joining the D list stars diving on Splash?

Wonder what Kentucky's freshman will do regarding the draft. They clearly arent ready for the League, but that hasnt stopped guys before them. Im assuming Calipari has signed another full class for next year, what does he do if some of these guys decide to stay? Or will he 'push' them out?
Maybe he will "encourage" some players to transfer? He was pretty brutal in his post game comments and basically said the team was "hijacked" this year by players who did not buy into the system. Some of that has to fall on the coaching staff. You cannot expect to bring in a whole class of one-and-dones every year and just keep winning titles.

This is exactly what you will get. Not only will you have no junior or senior leadership, you will also have kids with no interest whatsoever in the educational institution or in the academic side of things. I'd bet a big box of money that if you could take a peek at the actual academic performance of one-and-done kids you'd find a pretty general lack of achievement in the classroom, regardless whether it's basketball or hockey or whatever.

Love when underdog wins in post season (except S.D.St)
