I'm a PS3 person myself, but my 2011 game somehow stopped working. So i'm just going to wait for 2012. Denard is going to be so filthy in 2012... I can't wait.

I somewhat agree. I think he'll be in the 95 range, there's no way they can't make him one of the faster players in the game. And his throwing stats will be improved, but I think he will still be underrated.

Unfortunately, I think they'll kill his ability to be unstoppable by making him a fumble machine (as if he wasn't bad enough in 11) and he'll probably have a pretty mediocre injury rating.

The worst part about him in 11 is how tired he gets...if I run 2 or 3 options/reads with him in a row, his stamina is under 50% and he becomes the slowest player on the field.

I know that won't work online but at least in offline play it will help. Just move his fumble and stamina ratings up. His stamina is obviously good in real life since he only comes out if he's injured so boosting that up to the high 90s is realistic. You can turn his carry up, but not as high as the stamina.

and downloaded the rosters from a user online. Denard started as a 97 speed. I just finished my 2nd season and he's 98 and will probably bump up to a 99 during the off-season. You can't just run all over people with him though.

I'm loving the Fitz-Tou/Cox Combo in the backfield.

Well, not completely.

My mother declared video games to be my "marijuana, my drug" or whatever you'd like to call it.

So, I had to sneak it up here and I hide it every time she visits. Although, at this point, I'm pretty sure she isn't buying the "I hid it at home so you wouldn't smash it to pieces" argument.

And yes, I thoroughly enjoy sneakily playing video games so my mom doesn't catch me, it reminds me of my childhood.

To be fair, though, she is spot-on with her claim that I'm more or less addicted to video games, namely NCAA and FIFA.

I might be down for an OD, I'm already in two, one as Michigan and another with all my housemates where I'm Vandy.

What were you thinking in terms of teams, conferences, difficulty etc.?

Wtf is up with running out of the shotgun? Its almost impossible. As michigan, i would routinely put up 400 yards (on all american) passing, but barely manage 3.5ypc. I started a new dynasty with a made up team, and (running out of the I) have managed 6ypc in my games.

I have the game speed all the way up (to ncaa players reading this: try it! Its a lot of fun), but didnt do too much to the speed threshold. My problem hasent been getting chased down though as much as running into defensive linemen in the backfield literally every other play. I even set the run blocking slider to 100

Google NCAA 11 sliders and you should be able to find some a set where that wont happen as much. I could never run of the gun and would always get chased down by slower guys. Shit pissed me off so bad. But once I changed the sliders it was much more realistic. Zone read worked rather well if but only if you read the DE and made the right call. Sorry I have no link for the sliders as I dont play NCAA anymore. I have moved on to NHL 11. Which is awesome by the way.

Anyone that has a ps3 and plays NHL 11 and wants to play online sometime feel free to add me. PSN-MAIZEandBLUE02
These are the settings I use as recommended by the game blog that posted them. It also has all the other settings too (rules, subs, etc)

It works pretty well for me. i play on heisman (ps3) and turn my pass and run ratings a little higher than they recommend. But I also turn up the most of the CPUs ratings a little as well. It's realistic IMO and I like not being able to win every game easily. Havent gone undefeated in my most recent dynasty mode in 4 years but still got 11 wins each year.

There is one decent play in the 'Spread' that's just a straight shotgun QB off tackle that seems to work pretty well. I haven't had any success with the zone reads. I pretty much stick to running out of the one-back sets. The stretch and the options work pretty well.

For some reason there is a system flaw that makes any option plays less effective, as in the defenders don't fall for the read option. It is easier to run out of the shotgun if (with UofM) you just do regular off tackles plays and such for running backs, and then designed QB runs with Denard.

Over the last little bit I did an overhaul of the Michigan roster. Mostly the defense. My gamertag is Mustangs84. I tried to make the team as `realistic` possible. The base roster was an one of the most up to date ones found on operationsports.

btw, kinda random buttt i started using miss st this week and can just completely run shit. there wr #1 is nasty in the game. idk how good he is in real life but he catches any deep pass and there qb is a tank. i have scored at least 44 in every game iv played with them

I could not convince Mike Martin to stay after his junior year and now my defense is well, pathetic. EA got our kicking game right to the T also. I had to take Vlad, Justin and Demar off MICHIGAN. I had to red-shirt Woolfork also. It was a rough first two seasons and Denard tried to go pro but he got convinced to stick it out.

I didn't want to start a thread about this -- but are there some good sites to discuss strategy, game play tricks, etc? I really love the game. But I am still a beginner and have lots of questions.

Many of them are about recruiting. I love the recruiting aspect but I'm not always sure what the game is programmed to reward. For example:

1. Is it advantageous to offer early, or best to offer on visit weekend?

2. Does geography have no impact aside from the "Proximity to Home" category and the player's initial interest in your school (and, I guess, the "pipeline" bonus you may get)?

To point 1...I set my board for the 2011 dynasty season and there were 3 or 4 great players from the state of Michigan who committed to MSU after the very first offseason week! (I didn't offer first week.) I was infuriated.

I have potentially, not including myself, 3 people to join this as well. From what I've read, and assume from one of your posts, we could get a pretty good dynasty going on. Might as well do a pure one conference dynasty, all big ten/whatever else. I'm game either way, Heisman setting though. Anything less is stat padding settings, too easy. Email me though man amaizenblue2 at hotmail dot com. Or anyone else interested.

Mine hasn't started yet, and the next time I get on I will send you friend request so I can get you in on the dynasty. As of right now I have 4 people for sure in on it, and potentially 7 including myself and you.

If anyone else wants to join send me an email at amaizenblue2 at hotmail dot com.
