OT: NCAA 11 edit player video feature
As a borderline obsessive compulsive Michigan roster perfectionist, no dreads is a real bummer but I am still super jacked to play this game. Can't wait to unleash the speed on Tuesday!
Hopefully I can give Tate his wristbands, he looked a little weird in the gameplay videos with no sleeves or anything.
Hmmm...I didn't realize that I was at ea.com...
so many NCAA '11 posts...
Ban this troll. This was not directed at exmtroj.
Mod Edit: It's been done 3 times thus far.
This just makes me more excited to get this game. Quick question: Does anyone know of any reason why they don't let you choose those options (dreads, eyeblack, etc)? I seem to remember players having dreads in NCAA 07.
So that they can add it in next year and promote it has an "awesome new feature!" like they did with the officials on the field this year.
I actually read an interview about this with the NCAA art director, and his answer was that when they designed the players for the next-gen system, the head (including face, helmet and hair) was all one piece of art.
The only way they can add dreadlocks now is to paint them to the back of the head, which they don't want to do because it simply wouldn't look good at all. I don't remember if this is something they're working on or if they'll just have to wait until there's a new player model, but I wouldn't necessarily expect them anytime soon.
I'm have a bit of equipment obsession as well when it comes to these games. I even refused to buy the game one year because they didn't have the Manning style revo's when they had been out for a little bit. I must say I'm glad to see that they included Revo Speed helmets, although they have limited face mask options. Can't wait to pick this up!
I wish they had the sleeves that go to the elbow that Tate and Denard wear.I don't think anyone wore those until last year though so maybe its a recent thing.
I have the game and they have those sleeves.
So I can put dreads on a NHL 10 player, but no dreads in a football game. That makes sense. They must've remembered this famous photo:
