If Pacers win today they will be up 3-1 and have a stranglehold on the series. NBA playoff basketball is fantastic
and... i like them? I think I like them.
Agreed. Lots of drama here. LeBron will take the heat (no pun intended) if Miami goes down, but he's had a great series. Wade hasn't been giving them anything although he is hurt. And the other guys who were supposed to contribute (Miller, Chalmers, Haslem, Battier) have played like D-leaguers.
Chalmers has been playing solid and Miller has been good in limited time (he is also banged up). I would like to see Miller play more then Battier, but with Bosh out and the Heat going small, Battier is the only one besides Lebron who can guard West. He needs to start hitting his wide open 3s though. As far as Haslem goes, I don't know what is up wrong with him.
But FINALLY Wade, is playing like himself at the end of the second and the beginning of this half.
LeBron going to have to score 40 for Heat to win today
You called it an hour before it happened
Well he was well on his way to 40 at that point, plus they didn't actually need him to score 40 to win.
LeBron showing why he is the MVP.
This Paul George character plays like a latter day Scottie Pippen
Granger has a 70's game, ie before the 3 point shot. He is a scorer whether it is a 15 footer, or using a head fake to get closer shot, he know how to score points.
LeBron and Wade have been great in the second half to bring the Heat back from the brink. Thoroughly entertaining game
What a game by LeBron 40 18 and 9 and he made it look easy.
Has to be one of the best playoff performances I've ever seen. Granted I wasn't really watching basketball when Jordan was in his prime.
Yes, between Verlander's performance Friday night and LeBron's performance today it was a weekend of amazing performances.
For me there will never be a better performance than Magic Johnson's in game 6 of the Finals in his rookie year against the 76'ers. 42 15 and 7
I'd say Gordie Bell has had a pretty amazing performance in this thread
What an amazing game by Lebron. However, the doubts and doubters will persist unless he does this every game and wins the title, but still an epic performance. Certainly something you aren't going to see everyday
That was one of the best performances ever by LeBron James. There honestly aren't words to describe how good he was.
It doesn't matter how talented Lebron is I will always want his team to fail until he stops acting like a jerk.
All the Heat needed was some rest. With Bosh out the others are picking up his minutes and while Lebron can take that I don't think Wade who is more prone to wearing down can. I don't like their chances if they play 7 games against Indiana and 6/7 against Boston/Philly
How exactly is he acting like a jerk currently?
If someone you know in life does a series of very jerkish things and has too big of a head for their own good then never apologizes for it or shows any sign of change like humility (rather he tells people to get a life after losing) then you're probably not going to like them.
I don't care one bit about Cleveland or that he left for Miami and it's not even just about The Decision. It's that he was immature about it not telling the Cavs before announcing it, his whole proclamation of we're going to win 6, 7, 8 championships, his attitude all of last season, his prima donnaness, and his flopping.
I think he's the second best player in basketball today (behind Durant) but I'm not going to root for Lebron if I can't stand the things he says and does outside of basketball. Durant, Dirk, Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, Tim Duncan are the kinds of players I get behind.
It's great if you are behind Lebron but there are lots of reasons not to and while I'd be quick to forgive if he gave a reason for me to it hasn't happened.
Lebron had an amazing game today, but he also showed something else this game. He showed exactly why he left Cleveland for Miami. If Wade did not start playing like it was 2006 again and/or if Haslem did not find his mid-range shooting touch, then no matter how good of a game Lebron had, Pacers could of easily won. In order to win a Championship now-a-days, you need a solid supporting cast and a second go-to scorer.
