Submitted by Adrian on

What do you guys think who wins tonights game and the championship? Lebron is having a nice opening quarter. I still want Dallas to win. Its Dirks last chance to win a championship. Go Mavs

I love the NHL, probably more than NBA and slightly less so than NFL/NCAAF but this years NBA Finals>NHL Finals.  The non-suspension of Burrows was also BS.  Go Bahstan I guess although I haven't really paid attention this year to be honest.

Back when the Lakers beat the Kings in the conference finals and I remember saying to a friend that the NBA was fixed.  I don't feel that way anymore, especially after the Donoghy issue, but that perception is still out there for a lot of people.

Has there ever been a team that is universally hated more than the heat?  Haslem, James, Chalmers and even Wade lately have been as annoying as a buckeye fan with a 3rd grade vocabulary.

Because you must not remember the late 80's/early 90's Pistons. Heck, I put the Heat more in the old Celtics category for hate. Everyone outside of Boston or who wanted to prove white guys could still win at basketball didn't like the Celts. Much like Miami is the anti-Lebrons vs. the love the game/he's being picked on guys. The 90's Knicks weren't very popular, but they at least had the NYC backing. Heck, the defensive w/ Rasheed Pistons weren't loved. But that all pales to the Bad Boys.

If the fix were on Dirk would've picked up his third foul with 4 minutes to go in the second quarter when he obviously hacked Wade. And Dallas wouldn't have come away from that fracas with a free throw when Stevenson instigated it and then shoved Chalmers. He should've gotten techs for each of those.

I think with Haslem, the arm being up was the big problem. He and Stevenson were both walking to the same part, but he had his arm kind of in Stevenson's grill (or it was going to be) and Stevenson was trying to keep him from bumping into him (I don't think he really pushed him so much as stopped him). It all escalated from there.

Even before the Kings/lakers I have thought it wasn't so much fixed but refs had clear agendas to make sure "jersey selling" guys were always protected.

While stern has made the money for the league he has also basicly over saw the destroying of the actual rules of the game is still what bothers me.

The lack of calls and playing under the rules is absolutely terrible to watch.

lovers please stand up!! Oh their all hiding now! I said this after game 4 he is not the king, prince or court jester!  The guy has never stepped up when needed this whole series.  Jason Terry has owned him since game 2.  Please I hope i never hear a Lebron James is the Greatest of All time statement again.  Because he is not even close!!

They couldn't bring themselves to nominate Harry Potter (while at the same time promoting him for ticket sales/ratings). You can be a first timer if you've paid your dues like Ellen Barkin, but even if you're great you aren't going to get the love as a young cross over. Which tells you how good "Mormon" must be for Parker and Stone to be cleaning up tonight (though beyond South Park, they wisely teamed with the Avenue Q guy on this, so had some in).

I honestly didn't care what team won, but after game 1, I thought it was ridiculous the calls Dallas got. But I'm not about to alledge a conspiracy by the angel of Stern to get Cuban's team a title.

People who say 2002 was fixed for the Lakers and 2006 was fixed for the Heat have good arguments. 1985 Lottery was almost certainly fixed, as other lotteries may have been since.

For the most part, no. The league is not fixed. But there are some pretty gruesome memories for a lot of fans.
