OT - Navy/Notre Dame

Submitted by BlueinLansing on
Besides the joy that warms my heart from seeing ND flounder (told everyone they'd lose at least 3 more after UM back in Sep) I hope that todays win by Navy brings about change. That change should happen in the commentators seat next to Reece Davis on ESPN's College Football wrapup show. Lou Holtz is a clown of an 'expert' and should be fired for his pre-season suggestion that ND was a National Championship caliber football team and program. They are not, they are lost in the desert of mediocre coaching hell that has been ND for 15 years (ironic since Lou left). College football is to popular of a sport for the masses to be subjected to such awfull complete homerism to the highest degree. He is a sideshow now and brings nothing to the table and to be honest I rarely watch anymore specificaly because of him. Please ESPN do the right thing.....

everyone knows that. He is there for comedic value and isn't going anywhere. Don't take him seriously. I have to lol @ ND though. Much like every other year, Weis has probably done enough to keep his job, but with some angry alums. Pretty hilarious. I'm anxious to see what Irish thinks about all this. Just last night he was telling the board how much he hopes Weis sticks around.

I will wait to see a replay before making a strong judgment, as always. FG kicker misses 2 chip shots after making 14 straight (since the UM game I think), Receiver gets hit in the back with a pass as he blocks down field thinking a screen was called (which resulted in an int), Clausen is knocked out on the goal line trying to make a play and which results in a lost fumble. Offense and ST didn't execute in the redzone again, and because of it ND lost. Reminds me a lot of week 2 tbh.

is when he ate 5 1/2 ft. of a 6ft. submarine sandwich. As for Goo Holtz, E!SPN should be ashamed of having that bumbling idiot on its airwaves, but then again, E!SPN is a shameless whore.

Man, I hope this is the final straw for Weis at ND. I think if he gets fired, Jimmah and Tate are gone for sure. Hell, they might leave anyways, but I see no way they stick around for a coaching change in their senior year. I like our chances of beating ND next year much more with those two not playing. We need all the help we can get.

At least two more losses coming: Pitt and Stanford... Possibly three with UConn. But, good thing for them they decided to STB after getting their 6th win. They're in a bowl game. Aloha, Notre Dame!

Navy win for a 2nd time in 3 years after losing what, 43 years in a row? But I'd say the worst thing about ND is trying to watch their games on TV. When it finally looked like Navy was going to win it almost felt awkward that the announcers were conceding defeat bc they're so PRO-ND when calling the game. Honestly, how many times do we need to hear 'This is the stuff ND legends are made of.' It almost made me sick. I talked with my Dad after and he even commented how he couldnt believe that they spend 15 minutes after the game showing the team singing the alma mater and all that garbage that they show after the game.
