finally getting a dog and its an austrailan shepard
as much as i wanted fitzgerald i dont think it will suit him. so now i need a name for him and its between
aussie aussie aussie
manningham , manni or hammy for short
Manni gets my vote.
It has a nice ring to it.
Name him Brutus,
And don't be afraid to beat his ass once in a while..
No offense, but your choices aren't that interesting. This thread can only be saved with write-ins.
bit of a mouthful though.
I know this isn't one of the original options. But I think you should go with Tacopants.
"Nick Sheridan...No offense"
Funny phrasing there.
I was walking to get the mail yesterday and my neighbor was out in the yard with his two puppies. Out of curiosity they wandered into the street and approached me. The owner yelled, "Joker! Psycho! Get back over here!"
You should probably go with one of those.
A dog breeder told me to avoid dog names with the "O" sound as puppies can confuse the name with "No". Which sucks, because "Yost" is an awesome name for a dog.
....so he can go with something like "Andre Yruretagoyena". Dog can't mistake that for "No".
Gives you a reason to yell "GO BLUE" every time you throw a frisbee.
Yer my boy BLUE!
I promise when I can afford two dogs, I will adopt siblings and call them "Maize & Blue"
Old Timey people names for dogs.
George, Harold, Ralph, Gordie, Cornielius...
In college my roommate had a fish named Glen, now he's got a cat named Gus. You two would get along well...
I'm sure you meant Conelius.
I'd go with Barkevious
Would be much better if it were the other Australian dog...Barkevious Dingo.
Just watched the great John Cazale doc on HBO. Highly recommended viewing!
Unless he just got out of the pound in which case you call him "Winston." Just keep him away from Engineering students.
and you won't be sorry. Very smart and very lovable dog.
As for the name ..... Graham or BG
Desmond. Desmond howard and Desmond from Lost if you're a fan. Des or Dezzie for short.
When my dog is playing fetch (she is 7 months old, so we are still working on that...) I get to yell 'Hurry up Yost' when he is bringing it back to me.
So, i pretty much put it all out there in the subject line.... I need to learn to pace myself.
just do it.
My friend has a cat named Steve. Funniest name for a pet I have ever heard....STEEEVVVEEEE COME HERE you would think it was a sibling, not an animal. And it is super fat which somehow makes it funnier
Justin Boren Come here and you could have fed him people food left overs in bulk.
I would go with something from the Land Down Under like:
Ace (means "excellent")
Boomer (a large kangaroo)
Butcher (not what you think - its a glass of beer)
Coldie (a beer)
Etc. You get the idea.
Named one of my beagles Henne. Also have had names of Desmond, Bo, Blue, and Mick(Micky Mantle). My next dog will be a bulldog and his name will be Butkus.
...you should definately name your dog Rufus.
I like Manningham as his official name. You will call him whatever nickname fits his personalilty, so it could be manni, hammi, hambone solo or something completely unexpected. Give him a dignified official name. Manningham is very dignified.
would be "Syndrome".....then when it jumps up on the furniture, you can yell "DOWN SYNDROME!!"
One of my aero professors told us she had a professor friend at VaTech whose father-in-law was the dean of engineering, and they had a bit of a friendly rivalry.
When the dean got a dog, he named it Vector.
Not to be outdone, the prof gets a dog and proudly names him Matrix.
Some time later, the dean gets another dog, and names it Tensor.
