OT - My Holiday Weekend
Over the Holiday weekend I went with my partner and mother-in-law to a hot air balloon festival. It was decently cool and we actually got to walk up to all the balloons and their balloon crews to ask them questions and whatnot. I know, cool story bro. But then, this happened...
What's that you say? Are those colors vaguely reminiscent of a certain university whose football team I live and die with every fall?
Why yes, I do believe that is a maize and blue colored balloon being blown up before your very eyes.

Old guy was alternating between holding up the parachute at the top of the balloon there, yelling at kids running over the rope behind him, and yelling at his partners to do what they were supposed to do.
He was a real charmer.
My holiday weekend? 72 hour binge in river north, LP, and wrigley. summertime chi is great.

$600 in explosives, plus I split my finger wide open splitting logs for the bon fire. Plus beer and lots of swimming and riding the jet ski.
Note: If your log is cut at a weird angle and doesn't really sit up properly on the splitting stump... just don't split it. Get the fire hot and burn that one whole. 36 hours later and it's still bleeding pretty good. I should get a stitch, but... eh.

i went on a bender and woke up naked and sunburnt on a sailboat with a couple guys from chile and an ice cream dish full of of cocaine.
Drunk and sunburnt on a canoe on the Huron River, at a few points singing "Piano Man" and various CCR songs and in general making asses of ourselves. Woke up the next morning to run a 5k, and an older gentleman with an audibly clicking fake joint passed me walking. Then sat on the roof drinking as the parade passed our house at 11am. Someone even threw us candy. Then someone essentially threw a ypsi high school reunion party in our basement. We all sang along to Biz Markie's "Just a Friend" and my dad picked me up at 6am expecting me to drive the RV. Good stuff.
When I saw the title I was really hoping the Korean family returned and we were getting more stories!
But the balloon is pretty cool!
Cool Story bro (to me) but I saw Roger Daltrey and Eric Clapton at DTE
Great Show... Clapton is an amazing guitarist, and both guys actually were really good. Dalrey was better than I was expecting after the superbowl debacle, and Clapton was just amazing.
