OT: my boy and his cronies..
Have said, trying to help them get the word out let me know what you think of the video please????
I think the video is really funny, but part of me feels like you are trying to "Ken-nyv" us into promoting it for you.
I don't understand what that means?
"ken-nyv" = connive
At least, I think.
Good.
Having worked as a waiter for several years before graduation, I feel like I should be offended by this accusation of an "undeserved strong sense of entitlement'. OTOH, my experience is that you're 100% correct.
From working everything from casual to fine dining, the job isn't that hard and pays really well. Yet so many people on the various waitstaffs did nothing but bitch about how bad their customers were, how they didn't tip well, etc. Needless to say, there were also plenty of cool people I worked with, and I'm grateful for the experience and way to pay my way through undergrad.
Smart people as waiters? Sure. But underappreciated? My server, please!
Props. That was funny.
I was truly the worst waiter in the world. I didn't care if you got your food or not. If any of you were my customers, I'm sorry. It was 20 years ago.
The couple of folks who have commented started talking about how waiters feel entitled, it's interesting to see where something goes after it's posted on mgoblog. This video is a prelude to a couple of these cats skit show somewhere in L.A. Later this summer. My boy is in the film and produced it, he is top 5 funniest dudes I know and think he is smooth in the video.
Is to make fun of that sense of entitlement. Regardless, it's funny.
