OT: MSU tied with DePaul at halftime

Submitted by ThadMattasagoblin on

The world's greatest team since the 76' Hoosiers is tied at half after being down 6 to the Blue Demons.

This belongs on an MSU blog. GTFO. You know we play Ohio St this weekend right? Why the fuck do we care about the halftime score of an MSU basketball game that they’ll probably still win by 15? Pathetic

Maybe we need to start caring more about MSU.  Their fans vocally hate us with a passion and it carries through to their teams.

Their football radio broadcast does a "my second favorite team" update...and everytime I've listened it is whoever our opponent is, even if they need us to win to help them in the standings.  I have to put up with so many MSU fans being total dicks about the rivalry out of the blue without them even knowing that they are being a dick - it comes natural to them.

Meanwhile our coaches say the MSU game is just another game and our fans get shunned for mentioning MSU.

Why does this mean we should give any fucks what they’re doing if we’re not playing them? Because some stupid podunk local radio show plays a bit on that against us? Yeah okay, good idea. Beat Ohio State. Beat Michigan State when we play them in basketball, whatever else they do we don’t give any fucks. Certainly not a good look dancing on their graves about some halftime score in a game they win by more than 20.

I am not saying we should care about half time scores.  I am saying that we don't match MSU's intensity.

It isn't their local radio show that does that - it is their official MSU broadcast that brings up their hatred of Michigan, along with their fans and coaches.  The message sent to their players is this game makes a player a legend.

On the other hand our coaches call it another game and many of our fans shun any mention of anything MSU on this board unless we are playing them.  The message sent to our players is it is not much different than playing Minnesota for the Little Brown Jug.
