MOD EDIT: To be fair, as unusual as the circumstances and the resulting condition are, it isn't exactly an "LOLSparty" moment, so we'll call it what it is. - LSA
What a creative way to forget the John L. Smith era and the Muddy Waters era!
Dr. Grant and my dear Dr. Sadler, welcome to Jurassic Park
So he's using the old "found unconscious in a motel room in Palm Springs, CA, wakes up only able to speak Swedish, unable to remember his past or create new memories" excuse huh?
I tried that one once. Didn't work with my first wife.
Is your avatar from Duke Nukem?
Like Walt in Breaking Bad. Wonder if the kid was a chem major?
But he was found naked in a Walmart so it's a little different
OT Edit: I couldn't be more excited for the new epidsodes
This is part of the overall plot to begin recruiting heavily in Sweden and Scandinavia in general. Global recruiting.
I'm sure his memories are just laying in the weeds
This would be tough. I'm not a neurologist but this speaks to the benefit of knowing a second language.

I mean, it is kind of a shitty thing to have happen to you....
how many go undocumented because the affected have no idea...
There is a MyDesert.com piece which provides some of the things which are known about Michael Boatwright. Full story is here. Among them:
- He served from 1971 to 1973 in the U.S. Navy as an aviation mechanic, the Department of Veterans Affairs confirmed.
- Boatwright was likely a 3D graphic designer and had taught English in both Japan for 10 years and China for four years.
- Dade County Missing Persons Bureau says his parents were dead — his mother in 2012 and father in 1997. He had other aunts and uncles who had also died and another ex-wife he had divorced in 1983. He might have had two sisters in Sweden.
- Boatwright flew to Palm Springs from Hong Kong on Feb. 24, the day his Chinese visa expired.
There is actually a series of comments from Swedish folks who saw the article and claim to know him, saying that he portrayed Johan Ek in renaissance fairs throughout Sweden.
Hey, I just met you
And this is crazy
Here's my number
So call me maybe?
::wakes up from coma::
repeat first four lines...
Not to make light of it, but this is almost the plot of Memento, a quite excellent Kevin Nolan flick. Sans the Swedes. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/memento/
Christopher Nolan, actually (which I'm sure you knew, just had one of those aghh brain moments). The Batman / Inception / Prestige dude. He did Insomnia with Al Pacino, too. The guy doesn't make bad movies.
I don't remember the last time I read an article this interesting.
Well how far back can you actually remember? You may be suffering from this as well.
that I was trying to make although it didn't translate, sigh. I should've used italics, darn.
Wish more people watched it.
I thought of that too. Awesome show
MEMORAEE'S?
I could sell you some Forget-Me-Nows. Just don't forget you took them.
