OT - Mr Spots / Tom Brady

Submitted by TorontoBlue on

CBS guys just said Tom Brady ordered a spread for his linemen last night from his favorite spot in Ann Arbor - Mr Spots.  I've never been there - whats the scoop?

I have been to Buffalo - have tried the vaunted Duffs and Anchor Bar wings (the first are allegedly the best in the world, the second is the place where buffalo wings were invented).  No comparison.  Spots wings are the best.

Nice choice, Tom Brady.

I remember Brady eating at Spots (used to walk past every day on our way to getting one of the older frat bros to buy me liquor at Campus Corner).

No wonder his linemen looked so slow in the 1st half today, if they were hung over enough to get Spots wings the night before. Course, you can't have the wings without the waffle fries.

Being a Bowling Green alum and not a Michigan alum I am only familiar with the original restaurant in BG, but I was thrilled to death with the Mr Spots reference. I worked right across the street from them in BG and their hoagies and Chiptole burritos were probably 50% of my diet in college. Their waffle fries are absolutely divine. I still get a hankering for Spots about once a week but there's nothing like it that I've found in Chicago.

I used to be mayor of Mister Spots on Four Square. I don't remember getting a notification that I lost the mayorship, but I pretty much go there after every game. My whole house loves that place.

We love their chicken fingers. My housemates usually go with the honey mustard, but I like the hot. I've never had the wings, but I've had the subs and the burger. The burger is surprisingly delicious. The subs are slightly on the greasy side but pretty good. You get plenty of fries with the order.

I don't like going to places multiple times in a week, but I will to Mister Spots. It seems a little under the radar, but it's a great establishment. I hope it's not overcrowded now that it got a shout out from Tom Brady.

Yes, I hopped up and down like a schoolgirl when I heard Nantz talk about it.

Brady got wings for his linemen to chow down on, but he made a special request and got Keith from Mr. Spot's to bring him two Chipatis from PIzza Bob's three doors down. Which makes sense- the linemen mowing through wings, sauce everywhere, while the QB delicately savors the Chipati.

That is what reliable sources say, anyways. That is, Keith told me to make the Chipatis Wednesday night.
