I just had the most terribly confusing night.
I attended a Toledo Walleye ECHL game against the Elmyra Jackals. Toledo was down 6-1 at the end of the FIRST, and had (obviously) pulled their starting goalie after he gave up four in under 8 minutes (on 6 SOG), but the backup wasn't looking tremendously better.
Then, between the second and third periods, I had to endure highlights of OSU's football season being played on the big screen while Dane frigging Sanzenbacher was presented, on ice, with a personalized Walleye jersey. I thought I might vomit.
However, the Walleye went totally apeshit during the second half of the 2nd period and the third period, resulting in an 8-7 win and the most incredible, ridiculous game of hockey I've ever attended. Between the first period and Dane "Toledo's Favorite Son" Sanzenbacher, it was one of the worst events I've ever been at. Because of the craziness and the win, it was one of the best.
And to top it all off, I had a very large beer, but I paid $7.50 for it. SO confused! Was it a good night or a terrible one?
