OT: Most annoying commercials?

Submitted by DISCUSS Man on

depending on the network (ESPN), commercials can get overplayed and cause people to hate them and turn on them really quickly.

Prime example is the Pitbull commercial during the 2011 football season that ESPN played non-stop. Don't even remember what the hell it was for. All I remember from every commercial break was "LET'S......HAVE A REAL GOOD TIME, LET'S HAVE A REAL GOOD TIME".

post the commercials you love to hate. i'm guessing i'll see many mentions of that annoying broad from progressive.

I cannot stand the Comerica radio ads that play during the Tiger's games on WXYT/ MLB.com radio.  Especially the one where the woman humble-brags about how great the business she owns is and how she has so much damn money now that she needs a real bank to handle her finances.  But oh no she doesn't have a fancy car or take expensive trips, so she isn't actually a rich person that you can't relate to, no no.

Those catheter commercials. Who are the ad wizards that thought advertising their "pre-lubed" catheters while I'm trying to eat is a good thing. The first time I saw one I honestly thought it was some kind of Saturday Night Live fake ad or something. I don't care how it's so easy for some old lady to have catheters delivered right to her door!

How many of these commercials can be shown during one televised sporting event?  How do you explain to a five year old (boy or girl) watching the game with you what erectile dysfunction is?

Probably every State Farm commercial ever made. But the one with the terribly obnoxious wife is unbearable, mainly because I'll imagine mistakenly getting stuck with someone like that. Which is utterly terrifying.

Is there one person that actually finds those fucking commercials funny or informative?!

The car insurance ads are absolutely out of control. Why have they gotten so much more competitive and proliferated over the last few years or so?

I avoid live TV as often as possible. obviously live sports aside in which case I often dvr and delay start by 30-45 mins so I can fast forward through all ads.

The new ones are so creepy...one lady and her shit bag, another man and his razor...it's too much. They show them during dinner.

Ain't nobody wanna see that shit.

commercial where the lady is driving 3 guys to the office and she's late and the car jumps onto the train tracks to screeching techno music. I just want to throw a rock through my tv.

The best part about that commercial is the disclaimer the post at the bottom of the screen explaining that the driving stunt isn't real and should not actually be attempted.

No kidding?  People can't actually jump a 5000 lb car onto the top of a moving subway train to avoid traffic?

This likely won't be popular on this board... However, the Kate Upton Game of War commercials are just terrible. A spokesmodel she is not.

During the recent college football playoffs/bowl season is seemed every intro and outro played that damn Fallout Boy song. I hated that.

What is ESPN/ABC's obsession with Fall Out Boy.   First it was the Light it Up song and then the Centuries song.  I swear to god if they use that Uma Thurman song this season i'll break my fucking tv.   Fuck fall out boy.

Those Bud Light Best Night Ever commercials are fucking ridiculous. It doesn't even look like the best night ever...it looks like a stupid surprise party with lots of cheap beer.

All of them !!

Plus I dont get why people make watching the commercials played during the superbowl such a big deal. Thats all marketing , and people have fallen for it

. Hello, they are trying to sell you something !! Make them work for it . Thats not actual content . Its filler .

Now near the top of my list are those god damned Kit Kat commercials . Someone chomping on a candy bar and those annoying sounds make my blood boil .
