It seems like he found his way to Ann Arbor quite a bit a while ago and now, as he gets into his 50s (I think he is 55 this year), tours are starting to get cut short. Hopefully, whatever illness he cites is not a serious one - after all, on this site, which I am sure he's never seen, he has a dedicated fanbase, right? (I count myself among them, incidentally)

I saw the Smiths at the Fox. I think in 87. I was in my high school skateboarding days when I wanted to rock - but the Smiths show blew me away. To this day still one of the best shows I have ever seen....next to the 1998 Rose Bowl

In the early 90's I went to see him at the Hollywood Bowl and this Dueche just stopped in the middle of the concert because some girl ran on the stage to give him a hug. He stormed off and had a guy come out and say if any other girl comes up on the stage he would leave. He wasn't even on the stage signing for 20 minutes when he just walked off. And the lights went on. He's gay so they say he's bothered when chicks try to hug him. I was pissed that he did that and quit!!
