OT: More Urban Meyer Politicking
Urban Meyer goes on the offensive (to deflect criticism from Spikes' gruesome eye gouge?).

This is typical Urban Meyer

"You've got to protect quarterbacks. That's the whole purpose."
As far as I'm concerned, they protect them too much already.

You know, by like, throwing him back into a game while still woozy from a big concussion a few games before. He didn't seem too concerned about his QB then...

Does that Tebow costume also have a variation with the press being Tebow and Meyer replacing the press? If not, I think they might have a new best seller.

Meyer would be kissing the backside with the press on the front. It's a wonder that Tebow is able to walk.

I've been sick of that guy ever since his campaigning antics in 2006.

..it's a major part of the job now. Until a true playoff system appears, it will become an even greater part of the job. I would be more pissed at a coach for not politicking in this era than for actually doing it.
As for Meyer's merits, is there anyone here who wouldn't take Meyer as UM's coach in a heartbeat if RR got railroaded? Or be extremely worried if he took over ND or OSU?
My washing machine would need a lot of bleach that day if I ever woke up and found out that Meyer took over ND or OSU.

Florida consistently has disciplinary problems on and off the field. They run up the score every time they can (this, for the record, is one of the reasons I hate Oklahoma). And Meyer mouths off way too much and I personally despise politicking in football.
I do not want a Michigan coach to condone thuggery, run up the score against a full non-conference schedule of FCS opponents, and whine like crazy to the media, thank you.

why urban is great for osu or nd....

Or be extremely worried if he took over ND or OSU?I, for one, would not want Meyer as UM's coach. I've disliked him for a long time (even before he took the UF job). I would be worried if he took over ND or OSU, he can coach. If RR gets RR'd (see what I did there?), I'd take Mike Gundy over Meyer. At least Gundy's a man, he's 40!

going to do when Tebow graduates? He will probably present him with his degree at commencement in May.

I find the whole Meyer/Tebow media coverage (and relationship) sickening; however, did anyone see the play in question?
