I want Michigan to hire this guy for something, anything. Athletic department, public relations, professor, whatever. His class would have a waiting list longer than Bacon's....

Butte, Montana has some of the most polluted ground water in the country.  Heavy metals like arsenic and copper/gold mine tailings make their way into the wells.  People act a little weird in Butte.

He would be stereotyped as an "ignorant hick," and the Rosenbergs of the world would be ready to jump on any mistakes he may make.  I can hear it now: "definitely not a Michigan Man."

I was looking at the Montana Tech Athletics website in order to find what division they compete in (it's NAIA--thanks cfbdatawarehouse.com), and at the bottom of the page I saw a link for--wait for it--a gun raffle!

I understand and respect that responsible gun ownership is a part of life in other places, but I have to admit that, being from the Northeast, having never owned a gun, and having gone to UM where that would never fly, it's so unusual to me.

The College Libertarian Club holds a gun raffle at Michigan every year as a fundraiser, granted it only gets you a gift certificate to a gun story not an actual gun but these things do seem to fly around UM.
