The "fat little girlfriends" rant was a classic.

I'd love to see him get an upper echelon job just to see the results.

Beat me to it.

When Craig James is coming to town, hide his children, hide the hookers.
January 20th, 2017 at 9:19 AM ^
Until the team lost a few games, then he'd say the same thing about you that he just said about these guys. Happened just last year when they opened 0-2.
January 19th, 2017 at 8:43 PM ^
Wonder what he thinks of the Harbauffense
January 19th, 2017 at 8:45 PM ^
It's multiple and intricate. Has power elements...trickery and a dedicated downfield passing attack. Also features full backs and tight ends. Uses quick passing game and end around to extend the running game. I bet Leach digs it.
January 19th, 2017 at 8:49 PM ^
I dig it.
January 19th, 2017 at 10:24 PM ^
Mike Leach=Sammy Davis Jr is genius. +1 for you but doesn't reward genius adequately
January 20th, 2017 at 5:31 AM ^
we are playing at Iowa. Then we inexplicably don't do any of that.
January 20th, 2017 at 4:08 PM ^
Is a legend in his own mind. He views no coach as his equal even though he hasn't done squat as a head football coach. He relies on weak minded people that can't see through his aggrogant act and actually believe his opinion of himself. Congrats for falling into that category.
January 19th, 2017 at 8:45 PM ^
"...they basically say oh it's a system, suggesting that people who don't do it that way, who just run it up the middle, stick all your asses together so one hand grenade can kill everybody, that's the right way to do it."
January 19th, 2017 at 8:46 PM ^
I will root for him in any game not against us lol.
January 19th, 2017 at 8:55 PM ^
who in the SEC is doing anything other than coupling 3 yards and a cloud of dust with average QB play? Certainly Auburn and A&M but a whole mess of other SEC teams are just boring fart offenses. LSU, Arkansas, Debordian Tennessee, Florida, and yes, even Bama. Bama's offense would look a lot blander if you replaced their 2-deep of top 100 players with a lot of other top 25 rosters
January 19th, 2017 at 9:21 PM ^
Which is what makes Harbaugh's offense great. Our problem under Carr was we had one of those boring fart offenses. It worked fine enough until we played someone with equal or better talent and then we frequently lost to teams like Notre Dame, USC, OSU, and Texas. Also we were outschemed a lot by teams like Northwestern, Oregon, and Syracuse.
January 19th, 2017 at 11:37 PM ^
It's an NFL-style offense for sure, a least in terms of the passing game.
January 20th, 2017 at 5:39 AM ^
did some things that we haven't really done since that I do miss. I agree with you on the whole, but one thing I always appreciated about Carr was his willingness to abandon scheme and take what the defense was giving him. I do miss Carr's WR screens and hitches. If teams were selling out against the run, he would gladly just get those 5 yards on first down with a quick hit on the outside. We have not utilized that concept through 3 coaches since him, and that was truly a Michigan "staple" by the time he left. It could be a really good addition to the end around to nuetralize the effects of an inexperienced offensive line the next couple of years.
January 20th, 2017 at 5:52 PM ^
were some of the most sophisticated in memory. There is a reason that every QB that went through his system signed an NFL contract. The worst QB under him was probably John Navarre and Michigan averaged 35 points a game with him at QB.
The problem with Carr was he was too converative and wouldn't allow his OCs to open the whole playbook, that is why you typically saw sideline outs, and bubble screens, the middle of the field was off limits until we were trailing and had to use it. It would literally drive Terry Malone nuts that he was shackled as an OC.
January 20th, 2017 at 2:02 AM ^
offense under Lane Kiffin is the offense has evolved from smashmouth offense into WCO offense which then turned into RPO offense. Bama offense runs a similar scheme as Urban Meyer offense and does a lot of RPO plays to highlight Jalen Hurts strength as a QB.
January 19th, 2017 at 9:38 PM ^
Leach knew Hoke personally.
January 20th, 2017 at 9:30 AM ^
is 2-3, and 0-3 since 2005.
January 19th, 2017 at 8:50 PM ^
They are totally confident in themselves and don't give a fuck about what people think of them. Love them both.
January 19th, 2017 at 8:52 PM ^
As much as I love a rant against the SEC, Leach is garbage. There was a time where I thought he was amusing and entertaining, but now I just see a grumpy bitch.
January 19th, 2017 at 8:56 PM ^
A grumpy bitch that wins. Wazu has been to like 15 bowl games in their programs history, and he was just in the hunt for a pac12 title... tell me again how he is garbage?

Maybe if he could go a year without losing to an FCS school that would help his reputation
January 19th, 2017 at 9:05 PM ^
Anywhere in my post did I suggest that he can't coach? Okay then.
January 19th, 2017 at 9:09 PM ^
"Leach is garbage"
January 19th, 2017 at 9:17 PM ^
Anywhere in my post did I suggest that he can't coach?
January 19th, 2017 at 9:32 PM ^
Sounds to me like you think he's garbage. That would be where I got that from.
January 19th, 2017 at 9:39 PM ^
but I bet he's talking about Leach's treatment of his players.
January 19th, 2017 at 9:59 PM ^
Oh, so you assumed. Good to know.
January 19th, 2017 at 10:33 PM ^
I didn't assume anything. You actually said, "garbage."
January 19th, 2017 at 11:12 PM ^
I mean why would you assume a generic post about a college coach without reference to any of his specific faculties would be about his coaching acumen? He was OBVIOUSLY referring to Leach's garbage cooking skills, everyone knows Leach can't cook for shit.

January 19th, 2017 at 9:33 PM ^
Now who sounds like the grumpy bitch? Hint: it's you, Ron.
January 19th, 2017 at 10:00 PM ^
Lol ok.
January 19th, 2017 at 10:53 PM ^
I think "Leach is garbage" implies you think his coaching skills are garbage.
January 19th, 2017 at 9:24 PM ^
I don't know. There's no denying Leach's teams always impress on offense, but leave something to be desired on defense. Like a certain someone here. His teams are never true contenders for anything.
January 19th, 2017 at 11:09 PM ^
Yeah he's offense's performance in a bowl game against a depleted Minnesota team was sooooo impressive.
January 19th, 2017 at 10:23 PM ^
Totally agree. I have began to develop this thought about him.

Mike Leach is a kindred spirit
January 19th, 2017 at 9:10 PM ^
Coming from someone who's actually won something in his life.
In 15 years, he's had 1 season with 10 or more wins. I know he's a supposed genius, but the guy just hasn't done shit.
Gets a lot of faux praise for some unknown reason.
January 19th, 2017 at 9:14 PM ^
Looks at the programs he's coached up. Texas tech, Kentucky (not h.c.), wazu, etc... not exactly blue bloods. Put him at USC or Oregon and you've got national title contenders.
January 19th, 2017 at 9:17 PM ^
He took an average Texas Tech program and basically made them slightly above average with ONE very good season.
And coached up Washington State? The dude is 29-34 there. I get the program sucks, but on the biggest stages, especially this season, his team was blown out of the field.
National title contenders? Come on dude.
January 19th, 2017 at 9:21 PM ^
Go look at the offensive numbers this guys teams put up. Kentucky! TT! These are not schools with incredible talent. These are perennial bottom feeders.
January 19th, 2017 at 9:23 PM ^
Why are you getting caught up in offensive numbers? Who cares about that?
He's 113-77. That's not great. It's solid. You are speaking about him as though he's Bear Bryant.
January 19th, 2017 at 9:25 PM ^
At perennial bottom feeders. Rutgers would kill for that record!
