I've been going most years since the mid 90s, but have never been to the original Michigania. It's at a summer camp so it's generally summer camp type experience. Activities are heavily focused on tennis and waterfront. The waterfront has water skiiing, sailing, banana boats, swimming and canoes/kayaks. The tennis instruction is great and most adults do tennis in the morning while kids do tennis in the afternoon. If you have kids, they have scheduled activites between breakfast and lunch as well as between lunch and dinner so you have most of the day to do what you like.
Additionally, there are several hikes during the week, horse back riding at a nearby farm, some people schedule golf outings at nearby courses, arts and crafts/ceramics, bocce and ping pong, or you can just lounge around and enjoy being in the Adirondacks.
If you go the second week, it's a bit more laid back and slower than the first week as more people go the first week due to school starting. More 1 on 1 tennis instruction and nothing is crowded.
If you have any more specific questions let me know and I'll be happy to answer them if I can.

Meals are included, though it's typical camp food so not great but decent. Also, there are usually some cookies provided with evening events. If you want to eat during the day you can bring some snacks, they have an ice machine if you want to bring a cooler and keeps stuff cold. Additionally, there is a bit of an informal cocktail hour before dinner when adults get together and have some drinks and snacks before dinner.
No gun shooting range, only archery. This isn't really the crowd that would appreciate guns on the premises. There is probably a shooting range in the area considering the camp is in upstate NY.

LG is reporting 75 deg water temps, which is refreshing (but a bit chilly for the fickle). any other lake in the area is likely warmer.

We went to Michigania East in the summer of 2000 and to traditional Michigania in twice between 2002 and 2005. We had a great time at both. They are pretty similar overall. Tennis is a bigger deal at Michigania East due to the quality and number of the courts. There was also a daily adult softball game which was fun. The cabins at Michigania East are designed for a traditional (non-family) camp, so the setup is better at traditional Michigania in that regard. If you enjoyed the one, you will enjoy the other. We had a great time at both. My wife's work calendar did not jibe with the limited Michigania East calendar, so we were not able to return.
