95 mph winds in Sheldon, IA, a short distance from my location. Here we didn't have anything like that, barely 50mph which in this part of the world is breezy but not that unusual.

Seriously, hope no one gets hurt.  We've had a few near misses over the years and I have a cousin who, when he was about 10, was in their house when one took out their barn and 35 years later he still doesn't handle the sky turning green very well.

when it got slammed so bad the president came out and declared a state of emergency.  I was in a plant working (on a Sunday!) and we were all out watching three of them at once, including the F5 that destroyed everything.  When one got too close we all ran down to the tornado shelter, but nothing hit our location.

So they're fully charged when/if we lose power. My daughter is terrified of tornados (she's 6) and she's never been any where near one. I'm not looking forward to her nervousness..... Be safe everyone! Good luck everyone! Go Blue everyone!

The model future radar seems to indicate a new line forming this evening and moving through southeast MI between 10 and midnight. The model is showing a couple good sized t storm complexes with big bow echoes. That would imply a significant wind threat (though perhaps not as much of a tornado threat)so I would keep an eye out this evening.
