Last night I had this sweet dream. I was playing fullback for Michigan and we were working on punt protection in practice. Actually it was a "quick kick" play where Denard had the option to either run it or do a rugby punt. Yes Denard had a punt option lol.
Anyway, my job as fullback was to line up next to Denard when he took the snap, and then stay in and protect for him. We ran this play a few times and I was getting bored with just blocking. So I asked Borges "why don't I motion out to the edge pre-snap...and then run a route out there to give Denard a pass option as well?
Borges was like "great idea, lets put it in the gameplan". So we practiced that play over and over. I would motion out presnap.. to the edge on the right side. Then I would run a 12 yard button-hook and Denard would roll right. He would have the option to run it, pass it to me, or do a rugby punt. Denard was really cool, he and I were talking and laughing about how this was going to work in a real game.
The next thing I know we were playing some team, and I was in the Winged Helmet. Strangely enough, we were playing in my old HS stadium, not Michigan Stadium. We were buried deep in our own territory on 3rd down, and Al called my play. I motioned out, and the DB followed me out there to the edge but he was playing off me about 5 yds. I ran my button-hook and Denard rolled out and hit me with a beautiful pass. I caught it, faked inside and the defender went that way, and then I rolled outside and cut it up the seam for an 80 yard TD. I handed the ball to the official in the end zone (no showboating, this is Michigan) and my teammates mobbed me. That is all I remember.
I know "cool story bro"...but it was a fun dream...to be a football hero...have any of you ever had dreams when you were playing for Michigan?

Why would you want the option to punt on 3rd down? Also, love your name, hate your post.
