Saw Mona Shores a few times at 7v7s this summer. Very good team with an excellent QB. Well rounded team that can dink and dunk you. You fall asleep and then they hit a big vertical play.

However, if their qb is in fact hurt I would guess that la salle takes a close game. La Salle has played very well as of late so it wouldn't be a surprise wither way. I'm gonna go against my better judgement and predict La Salle by a score. My gut says the Muskegon teams are clearly talented and should take their games but I feel La Salle is finally due a championship. Just a bit more well rounded, despite the fact I feel they have less talent then Mona shores.

Looks like Fox Sports Detroit will stream the Div 4 and Div 6 games live on their site. Anyone know how to catch the Div 2 game online? Go Shores!

Go Mustangs. It's a trek to come down from the U.P.

My mom's hometown. They left 5am from Columbus to catch this rare event in Munising team Go Mustangs.

Munising barely staying in this game against Muskegon CC. MCC leads 7-6, but they're inside the 20, going in. It's just got the feeling that it's a matter of time before MCC busts this wide open.

The conference they're in now is mostly Div 4 teams I think and they crushed them all. Just eyeballing it, their average victory was probably about 40-6. They shutout Detroit Country Day too. Pretty crazy. They must be picking up a ton of kids that could be playing up several levels

Country Day was not very good this season. MCC is a very very good team though. I am surprised Munising has been able to hang in there with them. MCC's O is just wearing on them. It's really a numbers game and it looks like MCC has the numbers.

Supportin the fellow UP schools, MCC might've had more trouble if the game was played up in the Superior Dome :p. Damn MHSAA should at least put one of the yooper school finals in Marquette instead of discriminating and making them all drive south of the bridge.

Oh well, good season for the Mustangs. Tomorrow we'll see if Ishpeming can make it three in a row (all over the same opponent too - Detroit Loyola). Really amazing how well the Hematities play against any competition, given their roster size barely gets above 20 most years.

Ishpeming's quarterfinal game got moved from their homefield to the Superior Dome because we got almost 4 feet of snow the week of that game. Would've been impossible to clear that off the field in time.

MCC won all 14 games this year by at least 10 points. Also, no opponent was able to crack double digits in scoring during the postseason.

Congrats to the Crusaders. Hoping the Sailors and my Big Reds can take home titles of their own.

I mean, when you have Division 2 or 3 talent and you're playing in Division 8, that will happen. Most the teams in Division 8 are two or three kids away from moving down to D9 and playing flag football.
