OT: MGoVideo.com Help Needed

Submitted by WichitanWolverine on

I'm trying to watch some videos via mgovideo.com and have created an account.  Now when I go to the site I just get a blank white page.  Does anyone know why this is happening?  Is the site down and it just coincidentally happened right after I created an account?  Any help is appreciated.

MGoVideo is not an extension of MGoBlog and is run by posters who only recently noted their interest in beta testing the site. i would assume that they could answer better through their support system on the site

i checked mgovideo in mozilla firefox and i got the same thing - blank white page

the site loaded somewhat normally in IE - i thought there had been a site update - but in IE it looks like it had reverted to the older version of the site.

seems like there might be something wrong with the site?  dunno - i know the admin of mgovideo is over here alot - so he will probably see this.

short-term solution - maybe change your browser?  don't have chrome, or safari so don't know if they work.

Try using other browsers... there may be a missing plugin that it's not telling you about. I'm using Firefox and it's giving me that same blank white screen, so if switching browsers doesn't work, the site's down and the admin probably already knows...send an email just in case.

The blank page is a php error that you can't read because I've disabled errors from being displayed while I rewrite the site's code in order to be compatible with the latest version of php.

BTW, I'm only able to duplicate that error when I create or log in with an account that has an IP already associated with another account (not allowed). The site is up and working for me and most other users. If you have another account, clear your browser cache and try logging in with that.

Interesting - thanks for posting that.  I had been getting the error screen as well and wasn't sure why.  I cleared everything out of all browsers (IE, Firefox and Chrome) off all computers on my IP , but still getting the error.   I have never had another account.  Chome won't even get me to mgovideo.com.  IE and FF will get me to the login but both produce the error - can't access the page.  I clear everything from all browsers between tries.  It could be something here I am not catching - will keep playing with it.

Also, many thanks for running mgovideo.com - great site and resource

EDIT: Chrome will get to the site - same error.

hey, WV - good to see you've found MGoVideo.

Let me know if you need any of the source material for the games from last year, I can send you an external hard drive loaded up with all 12 games in HD.

I used MPEG Video Wizard to make the one highlight sequence I did last Fall (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6yVuvXhp10)

although between recording and posting games (as well as the uh, depreciating value of games beyond Indiana), I think that's enough; I'll leave the game recaps to the professional :)

let me know if you need that software; it works well with HD video files.
