OT- MgoBlog Streak for the Cash group

Submitted by Rather be on BA on

I made a ESPN Streak for the Cash (SFTC) group last week and after one post on here we are at 75 people in the group.  If you haven't joined yet you should.  You basically pick games or props (ie over/under 60 points etc.) and try to pick as many right in a row or in a month as you can.  Cash prizes are awarded for winners each month by ESPN/Progressive, but it is mostly just for fun.

Grp name: MgoBlog  pasword: tacopants

This month Bert has the longest streak with 12, and Chippewa Blue has the most total corret picks with 87.

Join in time for the monthly reset!

Being selective and doing a little research goes a long way. I try and stay away from soccer picks (just because I know nothing about it) and usually will only take a game if the Vegas spread is 3+ in favor of the team I'm picking. There's a lot of luck involved, but my streaks have improved with a little research. Not that it really matters, of course, but it can be fun if you get a little bit of a streak going.

I'm in a moral quandary. I don't gamble and don't endorse it. I don't read bleacher report, nor do I endorse posting links about it. I certainly couldn't post a topic about either such thing.

But what if some regular bleacher report writer were to write a feature article about the Super Bowl point spread, only he didn't understand what a point spread was? And thus looked really dumb? And what if I, despite not wishing ill on a 26-year-old guy who is just trying to do a job and make a buck, had a strong desire to point and laugh?

Then I would highjack this thread.

Because this is really embarrassing. Not for me, mind you.

Best run I ever had was 13. Got a Streak t-shirt out of it. Can't imagine how some of these people go on multiple 15+ streaks. Guess if you only play the "guaranteed wins" once every day or couple of days, but the game is too addicting to play only once a day.

I just won the pick where you guessed yes or no on if a 3-pointer would be made in the first three minutes of the UCLA-'Zona game.  UCLA made one literally at the last second, and now a meltdown is occurring in the discussion on espn.com LOL
