OT: MGoBlog sponsored by the M Den?

Submitted by Amused on

So after a long day, I log onto MGoBlog to partake in some of Brian's Pulitzer Prize* winning writing. As a begin to scroll down to read, I was shocked, nay appalled! to see a hideous strip of advertising screaming at my eyeballs the following six** awful words:

MGoBlog sponsored by THE M DEN

Could this signal the downfall of MGoBlog? Will this spark a bunch of M DEN themed posts from Brian about their great low prices on All In towels? Has this thoroughly destroyed the integrity of this website? And are those towels even worth five dollars? Shouldn't they be like, half that price?

Discuss.

*Not really, but if the Free Press can win a Pulitzer...

**Does M count as a word?

Why do you find something wrong with the sponsorship? Would you rather pay a monthly subscription (and with all the content and analysis we get, we probably should), or have a company do it for us? I'll take the latter.

We all buy from there anyways.. why not have a seal of approval from them. I don't believe Brian is selling out, it takes money to run this board. Money that Brian and all those directly involved deserve. I believe this will only bring good things in the future.

As required by law, once I graduated from UM I left the state. But I don't like ordering my Michigan gear since I return at least once a year and load up then.

But it would be great for the site and us loyal patrons if MDen offered a printable online MGoBlog coupon -- say for 5 or 10% off.

Everbody wins.

is this adblock backlash? if so, i'll disable it and resume clicking on PSA banners with awkwardly creepy father son relationships.

btw mden's website looks like it was designed on a napkin with crayons
