From skimming the article it still sounds like a long way away. There AD said there only in prelimenary talks and haven't even applied yet.

Yeah, I don't see this happening in the next year, but it is an interesting possibility. The note on scholarships was pretty interesting. I didn't realize conferences can enforce their own scholarship limits like that. Really seems to create disparity.

these things usually take 5-10 years to actually happen...unless its big east basketball.

if the rumors come to fruition and Bowling Green's program ultimately folds.
[NOTE: the linked article is a few months old. Since it came out we've seen their coach Scott Paluch leave the program (writing on the wall?) for USA hockey. Does anyone have updated information on where BGSU stands? I can't recall seeing anything new on INCH or USCHO.]
