swinging his helmet like a weapon! Hope he gets suspended! Just like #12 BYU Sophomore DB Kai Nucua with the cheap shot to the back of a Memphis players head. He may be expelled for a honor code violation.
Total trash by both!
December 22nd, 2014 at 7:18 PM ^
get permanently removed from their teams. Both are classless douchebags.
December 22nd, 2014 at 6:15 PM ^
especially after a gut-wrenching 2OT game. That's some Dom Raiola crap.
December 22nd, 2014 at 6:16 PM ^
There was helmet swinging, busted and bloodied faces and a 5-on-1 of BYU guys ganging up on a Memphis guy.
December 22nd, 2014 at 6:21 PM ^
if all their wives joined in
December 22nd, 2014 at 6:28 PM ^
not sure what you watched, but the first shot they showed on tv was that Black guy on Memphis running up behind the BYU guy and cold cocking him in the head then a boatload of memphis players started pounding him and stomping on him while he laid on the ground
December 22nd, 2014 at 6:32 PM ^
Are you sure you weren't watching the news?
December 22nd, 2014 at 8:25 PM ^
Someone please delete this trash.
December 22nd, 2014 at 8:28 PM ^
You could've used a jersey number, but you chose race? Particularly the majority race on the team?
It's not like they have 113 white guys and 2 black players.
That was so beyond unnecessary. What the fuck is wrong with you?
And by the way, you're wrong. It started with a BYU player pushing a Memphis player who bumped into him when he celebrated.
December 22nd, 2014 at 6:28 PM ^
If the Memphis guy was that #25, he pretty much went charging in there on his own. The announcers were like "somebody better get that Memphis kid out of there, he's all by himself in there" and I thought, that's his own fault.
December 22nd, 2014 at 6:17 PM ^
I get it being chippy in an intense game like that. IMO if you sucker punch someone, you should be drug behind the bus on the way home.
December 22nd, 2014 at 6:18 PM ^
That Brawl left a lot of guys battered and bruised

Plenty of punches thrown both ways. Odd anyone actually misses a game from this next year?
1%?

NCAA will get it right as usual....everyone is innocent.

Yeah, somehow Mitch will get another year suspension off of this

Same dan smith from key and peele skit?
December 22nd, 2014 at 7:56 PM ^
If you look closely at the video, he's at the bottom of the pile throwing haymakers
December 22nd, 2014 at 6:32 PM ^
A couple of those Memphis players should be expelled. Can't stomp and throw helmets at a guy on the ground getting pummeled.
Also, a wouldn't be surprised if a few BYU players got in some serious trouble just due to their code of conduct policy.
December 22nd, 2014 at 6:33 PM ^
Good point. There Code of Conduct could get some of the players expelled - NCAA is the least of their problems.

Weird for the Memphis players to start it. They won, need to show some class. Granted, it was pretty funny.
December 22nd, 2014 at 6:39 PM ^
Looked like a BYU player head butted/shoved a Memphis player, who the. Started swinging.
December 22nd, 2014 at 6:42 PM ^
Any idea if huge penalties come out of this as it's a postseason game? Like how mcgary smoking pot resulted in a year ban bc it was a test during tournament.
December 22nd, 2014 at 7:08 PM ^
In this instance...if the players involved were seniors, not much the NCAA can do..... but then, Mark Emmert is spineless anyway.
December 22nd, 2014 at 8:33 PM ^
He gone.
December 22nd, 2014 at 6:57 PM ^
the Memphis band playing their Fight Song the whole time. Good background music.

Nice observation! You're B. Rabbit on 8 Mile: "I hear everything."
December 22nd, 2014 at 7:05 PM ^
Dan Smith probably started it all

Not to over shadow the fight but that Memphis coach has done a hell of a job turning that program around

He has... First ten-win season since 1938, was it? That's crazy... He didn't seem too thrilled about the melee, either. Why is he not included in our coaching candidates?
December 22nd, 2014 at 8:01 PM ^
Honestly if it was up to me he would be a plan B guy, I watched a ton a football but haven't ever heard of him till tonight

The fight did not look good but it could have been much worse. At least the players didnt go and smoke some weed after the win. That would have been far far more dangerous to the players and would harm them much more.
December 22nd, 2014 at 7:58 PM ^
Comical. Earlier in the game the announcers were lauding these two mediocre teams saying what a great opportunity it was to get to enjoy themselves in Miami and get rewards for their hard work.
End up embarassing both of their schools.
Also, what is with all the cheap shots from 6'4 250 lb "tough guys"? Seriously. And look at C'sonte York's incident (to say nothing of Blount or the OSU RB hitting the girl in the bar). I've been in a few scraps and witnessed a few, but I don't think I've ever seen as many cheap shots as are thrown by football players in almost every incident and brawl.
