Salute to our Vets, those in Uniform, their families... and especially to those who have given the ultimate sacrifice.
to all who have served or lost family members who have done so.
Football is both an identity and a terminal illness. A rhythm and a chaos and an opiate for the mind all at once.

This country is so awesome. Thank you to all troops who put their lives on the line for the good of all in the best nation in the world.

God Bless America and all those who have fought for it past and present!
"They will meet a dastardly fate here for that! There isn't a Michigan Man who wouldn't like go out and scalp those Buckeyes right now."
Thanks to all who are serving or who have served for keeping this the greatest nation on earth. My daughter is presently serving in the Air Force and will be deploying to Kuwait in the near future for her second tour to the Middle East.
Nothing could be more appropriate, than the Veterans Memorial at Michigan Stadium:

And the story:

Thank you for sharing that info...I had always wondered what the eagle represented and in spite of too many trips to the Big House to count, had never bothered reading the inscription on the Statue.
I also think the swearing in of new officers at graduation, which may have started at the 2010 graduation with Obama and was repeated this year, is a good practice and was very well received, as it should have been, by those in attendance.
And thank you to all of you who protect us. Be safe.
When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
All the world wondered.
Honor the charge they made,
Honor the Light Brigade,
Noble six hundred.
. . .
God Bless our fighting men and women, especially those who charged the guns and never rode back.
a Memorial Day parade or ceremony, be there. It's worth every bit of your time.

Sportscenter.com raves: Sgt. Wolverine, "Michigan's biggest fan"!
Leaving for Airborne School Nov. 15th, Fort Benning here I come. Also thank you to all of my brothers in arms who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country, you will never be forgotten.
HAIL TO THE VICTORS VALIANT, HAIL TO THE CONQUERING HEROES!
Thank you for caring enough to put yourself in harms way to keep our country free. From the father of a US Airman.
Have fun doing endless PLFs. That would have been a fun school to go to. Too bad I couldn't talk anyone into it.
Give 'em hell!!! And thank you.
"I'm the baddest man on the planet" - Joe Warren
I would like to say thank you to all the brave men and women that selflessly serve and protect our country at home and overseas. They have signed a blank check for an amount up to and including their life, and I forever respect each and every soldier that protects our flag. God Bless America.

"Son tell me if I'm right, but its probably better without a big ugly rectum in front of you, and there are some big ugly rectums here. Am I right?"
-Mike Barwis
so I think it should at least be mentioned first, but I share your sentiments.
Near the snow, near the sun, in the highest fields,
See how these names are fêted by the waving grass
And by the streamers of white cloud
And whispers of wind in the listening sky.
The names of those who in their lives fought for life,
Who wore at their hearts the fire's centre.
Born of the sun, they travelled a short while toward the sun
And left the vivid air signed with their honour.
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift
