I think that's wrong--or I'm wrong.  I think we're the 5th seed if PSU loses to Minnesota.  Then it would be a 3-way tie b/n Illinois, MSU and us.  MSU is 6th, but my understanding we'd be 5th and Illinois 4th.  If PSU wins then it's a 4-way tie, and we're 4th by virtue of the best record among them.

OK yeah, that could be right, since both us and Illinois would be 2-1 against the other teams, and they won the head to head.

I guess I was thinking that we would be either a 4 or a 5, which effectively is the same thing, i.e. there is only one possible BTT path.

Sounds weird, but Iowa is the class of the big conference bottom dwellers (technically IU is below them now, but whatever).  OT losses at home to Wisco and UM, wins against Purdue and MSU - just not an easy out.  Also a non-con win over Bama.

Lot of people saying the Big 10 is top heavy with OSU, Wisconsin, and Purdue... but REALLY hope the Big 10 gets 6 bids (yes, even MSU) - think the conference will do some damage against the Big 12, ACC, SEC, Pac-10, and even Big East teams...

at least the 6 bids, but also for a few of the teams to make it to the sweet sixteen and maybe at least one team (wisconsin i hope) in the final four.  The Big Ten seemed to gain some respect this seaon in terms of depth, but i still feel as though the ACC and Big East stole all of the national coverage, even though the ACC was a weak conference outside of UNC and Duke.
