Full disclosure, I'm a huge IU fan and alum. And yes the refs sucked. Them being in the double bonus with 10 minutes left in the second half was a joke. The refs didn't cost us the game though, playing dumb basketball did. If you allow Troy Williams to bring the ball up the floor instead of Yogi Ferrell you deserve to lose. Troy has a ton of potential, but his basketball IQ is unbelievablely low. The coup de grass was getting an offensive rebound down 4/5 with about 2 minutes left and Williams proceeding to go 1 on 5 and jack up a ridiculous shot. Why Crean doesn't sit him after the bonehead plays just to talk to him for a minute or two I'll never understand. Crean has to go. Now. I'm tired of underachieving. I'm tired of watching no offense other than a 3 man weave at the top of the key or drive and kick. I'm tired of having no big men.

The issue is no depth and absolutely experience. They were good players but they were young and made too many mistakes. IU needs to get guys that are post players and are willing to rebound and play defense. Those 2 didn't really love doing that. They flashed it at times but showed no consistency. Also having the backup for them be a 6'7 guy is really not helpful

Vonleh was a perimeter big. He shot 3s and brought the ball up the floor at times. He was more of a combo 3/4 than a center/big man. Zeller was great, but 1 guy in 6 years? He's the only true center worth a shit we've had since Crean has been there. That qualifies as lots of big men to you?

Just searching for somewhere to air this out but great googly moogly is Doug Gottlieb awful as a commentator (otherwise, too). I do not think Ive heard a basketball color guy at the NCAA or NBA level who Ive found as dreadful as him. Has made this Maryland game unwatchable.

Complete tool and the definition of an underachiever. His teams should be competing for Big Ten titles and Final Fours every year given the level of talent he recruits. Even the one year his team was nationally relevant, they still underachieved in the tournament.

I wonder what Thanksgiving Dinner is like at Jack Harbaugh's house.  Do you think after Tom makes a comment that John and Jim make eye contact, softly shake their heads, and are both thinking "interesting guy...."
