OT - Max Bullough questioned at combine

Asked specifically if he failed a drug test, as is the rumor, Bullough declined to answer

Michigan State LB Max Bullough said he weighed in at 249, down from 265 at the East-West Shrine game.

Between the buzz that every NFL team knows that this the Rose Bowl suspension was a result of a failed drug test and the drastic weight loss in a month and a half, the picture is starting to become clearer.

other than a failed drug test by Bullough? For two months the rumor of steroids / oxy / Adderall have floated around Max and no one has dispelled them. "I'm not going to talk about it" with a defensive cadence seems like a horrible response with two months to prepare for the very question.

When I attended the Michigan HS coaches clinic back about a month ago I was talking with a couple of the position coaches from St. Francis up in TC. Coaches were constantly asking them if they knew what was going on with Max. From what I heard they seemed fairly adamant that Dantonio ha to suspend Max for signing with an agent too early. The excuse has never really sounded like a great one to me, but as of today it is the only one I have heard from anything close to a credible source that is consistent. Take it for what it's worth.

guidance because that is a simple answer and nowhere near the character issues associated with drugs. I also believe MSU has to file the incident of agent interference with the NCAA and it's not a matter protected by any secrecy cloak at the NCAA. Seems implausible.

His weight on the official MSU roster is 245, so he probably just got out of shape after his suspension to get up to the 260s.

If it's PEDs and it's institutional as some suspect they are exposed as cheaters. That seems pretty obvious.

Don't know if that's true, but it's possible there is a systemic issue. The secrecy just leads you to believe somthing more than an individual player making a bad decision is involved here.
