were pumped up!  I live in the DC area and was listening to the sports station for a while this afternoon while students were being interviewed.  The fact that Maryland is joining the Big Ten made them really pumped about this game, and they were all enthusiastically predicting a Maryland win.

In the morning he would read the Bible with another coach. Then, in the afternoon, he would go out and cheat kids who had probably saved up money from mowing lawns to buy those raffle tickets. That's Jim Tressel.

Not that I loved Rich Rod less, but that I loved Michigan more.

All we have to do is make Maryland and MSU rivals. Whichever team wins may riot, but it will limit the number of overall riots since they both can't lose at the same time. Unless they try to beat the system and riot win or lose...

I hate Duke and don't mind seeing them lose and for some reason have liked the Terps since the Francis/Dixon days. So I'll drink to the Dookies losing!

I suppose he has a reason to be salty. He built/is Duke basketball. Maryland, by leaving th ACC, has really opened up the possibility of UVA, GT, and UNC leaving as well. That would kill the academic cache of the conference.

Duke's fortune is tied to UNC. They will fade (even the basketball) into irrelevance if they're separated.

Yeah, that was really childish. He has also said recently that he has no intention of scheduling Maryland once they are gone. For a team that has always claimed Maryland is not a rivalthey sure are taking it poorly that maryland is leaving.

I like it that Duke lost. I'm not particularly happy that Maryland won, soon-to-be-B1G membership or no. Maybe it will grow on me with time.
