OT- March Madness day 2 open thread
Open thread for the day, or at least the early games.
That kid from Georgia really pinned Costello's shot. That was insanely impressive.
MSU really blowing their lead at the end.
Stupid fouls, quick shots. They're trying to shit the bed, but GA isn't good enough to cooperate.
MSU won't make it to the sweet 16.
West Virginia looks like they're playing full court pick up ball.
to search "Tom Crean" on Twitter for the next few hours.

Is such a beast. Oh if only he was at Michigan this year.
I feel like I should have picked Indiana, my heart said yes but my mind said no.
I call BS on you! No way does an MSU grad make paartner at any firm!
The last thing I want to see is Tom Crean somehow beating the Shockers and advancing...
I'm guessing he's fired if IU loses this game given the shitstorm since last year.
Not a fan of Crean, but I want the Big Ten to show well, and since OSU and MSU already won I have to root for them.
Wouldn't the fact that MSU and OSU won mean that you don't have to root for Crean?
Crean's gigantic buyout virtually guarantees him another year, if not two.
Oh man someone screencap that immediately.
So all character flaws are wiped out by the mere fact of being in the field of 68?
He constantly does things deserving of continued hatred.
Be the only 12 seed to win a game over a 5 this year? A good one in the last 5 minutes.
Just flicked over to it. Wichita-Indiana has been fun so far.
Bobby Hurley has got a mean mug at all times.
Even the Tom Crean haters gotta be impressed with his coaching job this year. IU wasn't expected to do anything this season.
God damnit Michigan bball... next year... next year...
Edit: Correct me if I'm wrong, but Michigan will probably be the highest ranked and favored team in the B1G next year right given the depth the team has now?
Even the Tom Crean haters gotta be impressed with his coaching job this yearSurely this is sarcasm?
With the offseason circus going on at IU before the season? Yeah, I'm pretty impressed the team made it to the NCAAs.
I know it's still below IU standards etc. but still not bad.
College basketball is a guard-dominated game, and IU had one of the best backcourts in the country in Blackmon and Farrell. They should not have barely squeaked into the tournament.
Who else has good returning players?
State... OSU?
State and UM should be near the top. Not sure who else - a lot of departures for Wiscy and MD. If Russell leaves OSU will hurt them obviously.
MSU loses Dawson and Trice but Valentine is a SR, Costello has really picked it up the last 10 games and will be a SR center, they get Eron Harris who Beilein wanted as their 2 (ave 17 ppg at WVA) so that is a decent big 3. They have a good PG who cant shoot well but does everything else well and they add Clark and Bess back as SO. Bess never got a chance to really show this year with injuries. They add a 5 star McDonaldls All American big man in Davis who willp lay the 4 in place of Dawson I assume, and then one of Beilein's targets that originally committed to SMU as a freshman. Getting Eron Harris was a huge get for them - instant offense.
They will be very competitive.
Off top of my head I think Iowa and Purdue both lose their best player. Going to be another down year in the Big 10 IMO.

Bobby Hurley is a pretty good coach, maybe he'll coach Rutgers make them decent again. But first lose this game, so my bracket can last a little longer.
Well good try Buffalo
Always looks like he's ready for a quick nine holes after the game.
Or nine rounds at the bar.
Wichita starting to gain a little separation. Already in double bonus as well.
Edit: IU's been within four or two points now for about five minutes. Shockers making their free throws.
So UC Irvine has a 7 foot 6 inch center in the game right now...just thought I would point that out...
Watching Louisville trying to rebound is hilarious
Come on UC Irvine. Put the MSU of Kentucky to the sword.
Indiana loses. Yeah. That's a shame. Hehe.
RT @BryanDFischer Crean! RT @dirkchatelain As horn sounded, Tom Crean looked at official Kipp Kissinger across the floor and said, "You suck."
Asshole alert.
UVA pulling away at the end.
What's with all the 4 seeds struggling? Louisville, you're killing me.
Wow... UC Irvine what the hell are you doing...
What is with all this late shot clock 3 point shooting? You have a fucking 7 ft 6 guy in the paint!!!!
Wasn't that a foul on Louisville? They called the push in the corner at 9 seconds against UCI, sent UL to line. That last play sure looked like a push, too -- defender got right in front of that UCI dribbler. Y U NO CALL FOUL?
Valpo joins Harvard NE and UCI on the list of end of game question marks...
Dez Wells is clutch, one of my favorite players in college.
