OT: Manny Harris steps up!
Manny Harris played his best all-around gave for the Cavs thereby screwing up our chance for additional ping-pong balls in the upcoming draft. Ignoring the internal memo to lose, lose big and lose often, Manny scored 19 on 6-12 shooting (3-5 from beyond the arc featuring a 40 ft "look what i found" shot clock beater) 12 rebounds, one steal and one block. And he actually played pretty stout defense (yes I watched the game) and showed an above average handle for the first time I can remember as a Cav.
During the game the announcers remarked several times that Manny was definitely a part of the Cavs future and were impressed with how much he has improved his ball handling, defense and rebounding from last year. Who knows - maybe there's hope for Darius yet!

Like I said when this was mentioned during the Red Wings open thread, good for him and it's always good to see a former player doing well. Hopefully he's earned a roster spot next year

Michigan basketball players infusing new life into Cleveland basketball. I never thought I would see the day.
My NBA loyalty is still up for grabs...

FWIW this gentlemen does the TV pre and post game show for the Cavs....
When he was younger he looked like this....
Michigan's own Campy Russell!

I shall send 24 hours of good vibes to the Cavs tomorrow. I don't send good vibes to just any teams, Mgrowold.

when he left Michigan for the pros. I am not giving away my age completely because I might have been just one year old. Goo bloo.

I think it's far too early in both of their careers to not have hope for them turning into solid players. Both have great size for their positions and obviously good skills. Both are pretty young as well.
Of course ESPN shows not one clip of Manny scoring, doesn't even mention him in their (video) recap in fact. All about Kyrie Irving....
Remind me - was manny a SF or SG? He was a guard, wasn't he?
Hopefully he and Kyrie can develop some chemistry in the off season
Video of this performance would be swell.
Yes, I said swell.
Many plays for a really crappy team. That gives him much more opportunity and freedom to show what he can do. That has allowed him to show that he can be a part of the Cavs future. Morris doesn't have that at this point. The Lakers are still competing in the playoffs (I don't think they'll make much of a dent there, but they are still competing). They have set stars, so they are less likely to cut some slack for someone like Darius to prove himself.
I still think Darius has a chance, he's still young and everyone knew he needed to develop a lot more to be a solid contributer at the NBA level. But he still has some time to do that, to fix his problems, and contribute. It's just going to have to be a lot different path than Manny has taken (unless Morris gets traded or something).

positions on players leaving: we don't always know what they're capable of. Much as I want guys at Michigan, if ball is your all. . .
And let's face it, there's a lot of mean-spirited guessing of these kids. . . by weenies. It has to wear on you.

They're nice, no question, but isn't it kind of weird to have your wife's (I'm assuming...) tits as your avatar? To each his own, nonetheless. And also congratulations, I suppose.

I prefer to think people are focusing on the nice "M" bikini.
