That dude has gained weight. It's noticeable from season 1. As great a guy as he may be he is going to die of a horrible heart-splosion if he doesn't stop being a slob. I actually like the show, Lafayette >>> American.

Lafayette >>>American +1
Coney Island oh how I miss you. Went back to M last weekend and there was a national coney island at the airport. I couldn't pass an opportunity for a large Hani. MMMMMM
Its amazing how your food is in front of you before you complete your order at Lafayette.

American>Lafayette
I like both, and I think that Kerby's is really the best (and most traditional, long story), but American is more true to the classic coney.

The search bar, what a wonderful thing:

...he only splurges when filming, and eats healthy the rest of the time, and exercises, he probably has suffered no harmful effects as a result of his food challenges.
He probably eats healthier and works out more than most of us do.
Besides, we never see what happens AFTER the show. I wonder how much of that food comes back up, either on purpose, or not.

In an espn chat he said he does a cleanse after every challenge as well.

I love the show and usually wanna try everything on there. But, I was at the whitecaps game here in Grand Rapids when he tried the 5/3 burger and failed and also at the game when an 8 year old girl finished only a week later. After that moment, I've never felt the same about the show.

He did in fact finish that 5/3 lb burger. I know this only because I've done the challenge, conquered it, and got picture face-time on the show; needless to say, I've seen the episode 2 or 3 times. Man vs. Food's challenge was even more impressive, since they only gave him from the 7th inning until the end of the game to down the burger, while everyone else had no time limit. I hope the reason you don't "feel the same about the show" is because it encouraged an 8-year old girl to eat that disgusting burger.

Also Graham Brown was my favorite "gritty" basketball player Michigan had back then.

Did the 8 year old girl weigh 350 lbs? He's no Kobayashi, but he can back away some food.

Maybe I don't understand the premise of the show. I thought he couldn't "back away" some food.
I guess I thought that the guy could pack away some food. LoL. (Always enjoy your posts, and rarely can I find a nit to pick. Just couldn't let this one go...)

but Adam has become sort of a tool recently. I still watch every week, but I fear his "success" is going to his head.
