OT Madden 11 Demo

Submitted by michWolves2580 on

Madden 11 demo came out for Xbox (not sure about PS3). Teams are Colts and Jets which I love because I'm from Long Island and a huge Jet fan. the play calling is a lot different this year, which we all know but I like it alot. It makes me feel like I'm in the game.

I think the game is good but very similar to Madden 10. It doesn't seem like much has changed football wise (not entrances, presentation, or play calling). What do you guys think?

My little bro is downloading it in the next room right now. I haven't played a video game in six months and I am almost giddy about rocking this demo.

So mediocre.

When your big 'upgrade' is taking away play calling from the user, you have a problem. Not much else has seemingly changed.

NHL 11 please.

cmon you guys.  They only took it away for the demo, to showcase their new playcalling OPTION.  in the real game, you can choose from the old way or the new way.

Supposedly(havent played it yet), the run blocking has been revamped for this years game (which was the biggest problem with Madden 10).  So I will be looking at that and the AI of the secondary players a lot to see the improvements, instead of focusing on supposed issues which in fact are not problems at all.

Ummm....if this isn't OT idk what is...

Don't get me wrong...I love Madden (though haven't gotten it since 09, going for NCAA instead) but yea.  OT it please

EDIT:  Thank you

... is the retirement. im still playing 09,  but my colts dynasty keeps winning and the players won't retire. So i have ryan lilja and robert mathis going into their 15th and 16th seasons, it's kinda irritating when i draft at their position to anticipate them retiring and they don't. Other than that i love the games

The next gen consoles ruined Madden.  I used to be extremely addicted to it back on Ps2 for years but ever since they took gameplay out of the equation and focused more on graphics, they've been terrible.  I used to have complete control of all my players movements, but in the newer editions, the players can't run exactly as I want, they do mini half circles like a hockey player.

Was anyone else addicted to the Ps2 versions and have noticed this?

My buddies and i were big time addicted to it on ps2.  We used to pass a memory card around at school to all play on the same season together.  It was our online season before that existed.  I completely agree, I lost madden on next gen.  got much more into NCAA

Did you play Madden 2010?

To say that Madden 2010 was worse than the xbox/ps versions is a crime.  A crime against reality.

Madden was way better than NCAA in 2010.  In 2011, NCAA has caught up - thus Madden won't look as good as it did last year (seeing as how the changes don't look to be that significant).

I haven't played the demo yet. I feel like the running control issues were taken care of in NCAA 11. Every gameplay addition in NCAA is in Madden and more usually. That's strange.

The demos are never nearly as good as the real game so I would take this demo with a grain of salt. Every demo I play has much worse gameplay than the final product.

The audible system is completely different and the playcalling (gameplanning) can be turned on or off....the strategy pad is the new way to call audibles, but in september ea sports is releasing a patch so you can use the old audible system, which is the one in ncaa...apparently there was such an uproar about the strategy pad that ea sports got the hint.
