if mathieu did fail a third test, he would not be eligible to play at another ncaa school. he would have to be eligible to play at the school from which he's transferring. honey badger might only be immediately eligible to play at an naia school or junior college immediately.

He was kicked out of LSU, not kicked off the football team. Obviously the SEC doesn't discipline football players, but if he got University discipline (rather than AD) he's in trouble. He can't transfer and be eligible anywhere FBS OR FCS this year if he wasn't eligible at LSU.

I don't know if Mathieu has scouts excited enough to risk a high pick on him if he sits out, especially if he has "character issues." Janoris Jenkins went 39th in this year's draft after transfering to North Alabama, and I doubt he would have gone that high last year if he had either gone pro or not played and waited for the 2012 draft.

true. he has junior standing, so he’s not eligible for nfl draft, but will be if he sits out a year. However, nfl teams wont chance a 1-2 draft choice on him at this point and his character if there are significant issues that dont pass the "sniff-sniff" test. (the charles rodgers principle)

You can't just say you're kidding after anything and avoid sounding like a dick.  Go up to your wife/girlfriend/mom and say, "Why are you such a bitch?  Oh, I'm just kidding." and see what happens.

I disagree.  I had no interest in clicking on a thread talking about a press conference LSU is going to hold.  It's spring, every team holds press conferences.  Now this thread, on the other hand, got my attention because this is big news.

Honey Badger don't care; Honey Badger goin' to the League.

Seriously, I hate this story.  I hate to see good college football players get taken away due to stupidity, and off-field issues.  And I hate to see good collegiate players go to the NFl early.  I feel ripped off that I won'd see the Honey Badger on the field for the Bayou Bengals this fall.  Stinks.  Now he is an NFL story, and I instinctively don't care about NFL stories.  Honey Badger, you're dead to me.

Looks like he got into some sardines, maybe it's just kippered herring though, I don't want to speculate. But he's gonna be pissed when he finds out that European beer is actually made by Coors.

T.O. says he too hates self-absorbed human beings in football uniforms and has called a press conference to be held in his driveway to discuss it.

I'd bet that he had some sort of illegal contact with an agent. Can't be drugs. You have to fail A LOT of drug tests to get busted for weed as a college football player.
