OT(?) - Louisville sex scandal investigation

Submitted by samber2009 on

There was a bit of news about this a few weeks ago, but OTL is breaking this morning the extent of went on between 2010-2014.  Five ex-players and recruits speaking on the coniditon of anonymity. Looks really bad. Mike and Mike referencing on-campus parties with strippers, stacks of money, and sex with escorts payed for by a graduate assistant.

I'm not sure if you're serious. Mortensen has never issued a retraction or correction to his report of the "2.5 lb" under inflated ball w/r/t to deflateghazi. Actually, the network continued to carry water for the NFL until the suspension was vacated. I'm not even going to get into the Harbaugh search process. ....

Just as a point of order here, even by Brian's own FAQ - which was written back in the day, of course - this isn't necessarily true. College sports stories with no relation to Michigan would sit in that gray area where discretion is used in determining the thread's ultimate fate. Again, there is not an absolute prohibition on OT threads in the season, but there is definitely what we shall call a narrowing of focus.

All I said was this post is OT (meaning not having to do with Michigan), which it is.....and anything not having to do with the University of Michigan or Michigan sports is by definition OT, which is true. I never said the OP should have his post deleted nor did I imply that the focus should be narrowed. I simply stated that the post is OT, because by definition, it is OT. If anything, I was confused by the level of OT something has to be before the MODS remove it, but I'm not confused as to what designates something as OT. Appreciate you looking out though bro!

The standard isn't having to do with Michigan, it's pretty specifically defined in the FAQ. The Louisville scandal is, going by strict definition, on topic because they were an opponent. College sports in general are "gray area".

As far as what off topic posts get deleted and what doesn't, we usually make exceptions for things that are relevant to the board but are not on topic. One example was the youth football league post last week.

Glad you are here to help moderate the "gray area", and by that I mean, the delicate space between on and off topic posts on the blog. Thanks for the FAQ link too, and for caring so much to really point out that the post was indeed neither on-topic, nor off-topic. I was wrong when I said the OP's post was Off Topic, because it wasn't really either. I just get really confused sometimes with "gray areas", because it's essentially a matter of opinion, since you are a MOD of the blog, as to whether or not something stays or goes. I guess I'm just a black and white kind of guy when it comes to these things, that way, every topic is treated the same, and not left up to whether or not you personally think it is relevant.

Piles of money, stripper parties and free hookers, hot teachers sleeping with high school students, where the hell was all of this when I was a teenager? I went to the wrong damn schools I tell ya..

Don't have enough points to post, but heard the news this morning. Someone covered it above, but was thinking that means essentially we won the NC. Guess not. Still can't believe we lost that game.

Regardless of whether Pitino knew about this, it is my understanding that he could still be hit with "lack of institutional control". Does anyone have a better or different understanding?

it just bugs the living shit out of me that john beilein - john beilein! - has lost shots at two separate national championships to the two biggest fucking weasels in the sport.

I'm glad Beilein is at Michigan, and glad we're not Louisville. If that's the price of winning, I don't want to win. I don't want to have anything to do with that.

I mean, I'm not a complete idiot. I realize that stuff will happen. But when it is planned by the institution? Strippers, dancers, side deals, paid from a mysterious booster funded slush fund? Do not want.

One final comment. There has to be a way to distinguish between the impermissible benefit of cream cheese for bagels, and stuff like this. Some of the so-called NCAA infractions are just ridiculous. I'm still a bit chafed by what happened with Mitch McGary. This stuff at Louisville is just wrong.

The bit I heard on Mike and Mike almost entertained me. Golic and Carter were essentially admitting that boosters don't need to pay for "it."  The hospitality crews (formal or informal) at each recruiting stop generally throw themselves at recruits.

Is there a bigger dichotomy than the 2013 NCAAB championship head coaches? One runs a drug-filled brothel on campus and nailed his colleague's wife on the table of a local Italian restaurant. The other gets crazy with sub sandwiches. Of course the dirtbag coach won with a BS call. Would love to see Beilein get his champship this season and Pitino get canned.

Hi! I have seen a little bit about this when I was switching Tv channels. Don't know how to comment on it. I suppose that if you are excited, you just need to use the right service to solve it. https://www.meetmilfy.com/ could help you to find some milfs. I think that it could be the best solution.
