OT: Long weekend plans - Humblebragging edition
I'll be spending most of the long weekend with people I'm not exactly fond of, doing things I'd rather not do.
Is anyone doing something fun this weekend? Taking the boat out? Getting on a plane and taking a vacation? Two chicks at the same time?

How has that place not been nuked off the face of the Earth yet? Hasn't hosted an event in years. Is Detroit hurting so badly for money that it can't even afford to demolish its old football stadium?

I'm reasonably confident that Pontiac (and places that are technically Pontiac) are outside Detroit city limits.
This is what it looked like back in January. The field is literally floating on 3 inches of water.
Did they really take the roof off?
I know this is /s but for those who don't know, those white sheets laying around the stadium were once the roof.
The owner deflated the dome because he's a cheap, deadbeat asshole of an owner who could not care less about the citizens of Oakland County having this eyesore sitting there and it being an exploration attraction.
Mother nature took care of the rest. This was what it looked like last Fall before the thing tore off.

Power washing the deck on the weekend and our annual Memorial Day cookout with family and close friends - will be nice!

I will be finishing up a bathroom remodel myself. Had to relocate all the fixtures, move 2 walls, and change out a door for a pocket door.
Also time for the annual get rid of junk house/garage cleaning.
And beer, lots of beer.
Definitely throw a few burgers/dogs on the grill come Monday.

My contractor is behind schedule so instead of having the family over for our Memorial Day cookout, it's been moved to my sister's place. The new patio is done but I will be watching him pour the concrete driveway tomorrow.
Memorial Day with my dad will be special, I'm spending as much time with him as possible in advance of surgery he's having the week after. He's pushing 90 so every chance I get to see him is important, at least to me.
I'll be tugging on my tadpole.

I have everybody beat. I'll be sitting on a bag of frozen peas this weekend after my "procedure" this afternoon.
Should have saved that for March Madness
I did, very little pain and a fast recovery. Couple of buddies decided they could lay in a brick patio the same afternoon-very different story for them.
