Anyone know how I can listen to the Tigers game online or on an iphone? I tried going to 97.1 the ticket to listen live but its blacked out online and on my iphone. Anybody have any suggestions. Thank You
fair point that
mlb at bat premium...
I am currently listening on At Bat myself. This is the only legit solution, unless you can find a station that forgot to switch off the feed.
I had done a search on Google for "Detroit Tiger's Radio" and saw some radio stations I was familiar with back in MI and then went to some AM affiliates. Two actually worked but for some reason the radio commercials didn't line up with the breaks at every half inning so you'd be in the middle of an at bat and it would cut away to commercial and then come back to some random point in the inning. At first I thought it was just the one station but tried another and the same thing happened. I haven't really tried since but should. I enjoy listening to them casually at work when they have the day games.
Not sure, but let's turn this into the open thread for the game.
Tigers up 1-0 through 1.5 innings.
MLB at bat is the only way. On your phone it costs 15 dollars. It is worth it in my opinion I have had it for a couple of years. Make sure if you buy it, you get good cell coverage and/or WIFI.
It's amazing how much more competent the Royals look now that they aren't running out Hochevar, Teaford, and Danny Duffy every 5 days.
I hate the way baseball works sometimes. A lucky hit, a stolen base, a bad pitch, and a run has scored. Just the way it goes sometimes.
1-1 in the 3rd.
Hah nearly a rinse and repeat on the 2nd run, little different circumstances but same result. Infield hit, infield hit, error, sac fly.
Got to get Infante in here.
On first glance, I thought that the title to your post was an imperative statement, and that I should tune in to see another Verlander no-hitter.
Go to 1310 am traverse city radio
Gutsy and smart decision by Brookens there. Smart to send the runner on a ball hit to the fielder's glove side. Prince would've been gunned if the CF had been left-handed, but as a righty he had a tough play.
Verlander has given up 7 hits through 5 innings. Literally half of those have either been infield singles or slow rollers that somehow found their way through the infield. Just unlucky, really, but he still has a decent stat line despite all that.
Justin Verlander is up to 78 pitches, if I have been counting correctly. Fifty-six of them, or about 72%, have been strikes.
Bad luck there, Cabby crushed that ball at Moustakas and it turns into a DP. 3-2 tigers top 6.
Welp, Verlander's day is done. In all, a quality start and he leaves with the Tigers in the lead. Rondon on for the eigth. Let's see what he's got.
Bruce Rondon making his major league debut against one of the top DH's in the league, good luck big guy.
Poor job holding the runners, I can't understand why any of our relief pitchers can't do this. As I'm writing this he gets a soft pop out to end the inning but it's tied now..
For his debut Rondon was ok....fastball had some life, he didn't completely trust his slider though. Facing Butler sure as hell didn't help him any.
All in all, he was fine and it could have gone worse.
Not sure i like the idea of him starting the 9th as well though.
A shaky outing, to say the least.
Time for a walk-off??
Poor managing from Leyland, Phil lost it once the rain started to fall and he kept him in far past his usefulness.
Well that's the game
And Gordon slams the door shut. Should have won this game, why no Benoit in the 8th??
What a shame Verlander had to call it quits today.... Go Wings
Just keep telling myself we started 11-11 last year.
