OT: Lions Win: Anyone see the game?

but i was listening on the radio on the way home. i just gotta say, something about hearing the call on the radio can actually make the moment much more intense than watching it on TV. am i crazy, or does anyone else get this? anyways, the game was a true barnburner.

I'm in Arizona and watched the entire game. Bryant Johnson pretty much got tackled in the endzone. Stafford got reamed hard, I would honestly guess a broken collerbone or torn rotator cuff but he still threw the td on the one yard line off play action. Right after he threw it he grabbed his shoulder. I felt like I was watching the Byron Leftwich broken leg all over again, that's what legends are made of baby!!!!!!!

Considering this was Brain Bleach Bowl II (BBB I was the game against St. Louis). Neither team played a lot of defense, but it was a far more entertaining game than I expected when the Lions went down 24-3 in the first. I've been impressed with Stafford at times this year, too, but I hope he can manage to stay healthy. I'd hate to see him have a career like Chad Pennington: effective when healthy but unlikely to play a full season.

That penalty was horrible at the end. Before I get negbanged think about if that penalty had gone the other way. I'm glad the Lions won but that pass was uncatchable. I will say that I can't think of a more fitting way for the Lions to win :-)

The announcer questioned why the game didn't end with no last play for the Lions and the Browns getting the win, since the refs charged an injury timeout to the Lions. I think the announcer is wrong. The penalty is 10 seconds rolled off the clock. The clock had already expired and was at 0:00. They do that to prevent players from faking injuries to stop the clock when the team has no timeouts. However, the penalty on the defense gives the offense 1 final "untimed play" as any half cannot end on a defensive penalty. Hence the Lions get the ball at the 1 yard line with 0:00 left on the clock for one last play.

game - one of the most exciting NFL games I've seen on a long time. I know the Browns suck hard, but Stafford and the passing attack looked great. On the Cleveland sports talk station - they said the pass interference call was legit and the Browns shouldn't complain.

I watched the game tracker thing while I should've been writing a paper - most exciting game tracker in a long time! Fairly confusing there at the end, but it's all good. Also, Calvin Johnson is a beast. We need to keep building around him, b/c he's really something.

That was the first Lions game I actually enjoyed watching in a couple of years. I missed the Redskins game so it was great to see them win.

I actually attended the game with 5 friends and we were in the endzone section where the final TD was scored. It was my second Lions game - the first 14 years ago when I was 8. It was suprising how well Cleveland fans seemed to travel but it seemed they made the OSU game and the Lions game a weekend-long trip. Anyway, it was interesting to watch Cribbs on the field. It really gave me a glimpse of the possibilities with Denard. Out of the wildcat and as a receiver every time he touched the ball if he was able to get in space and just get a block at the second level he was nearly gone. Not to mention his effectiveness on kickoffs and punt returns. Now I know we need depth at QB but at some point in the future Denard would fit so well at this position (if he has decent hands). Also, Cribbs wears #16.

I was at the game and was awesome, I went crazy when we won and shoved it in the faces of the drunk Browns fans around me who were obnoxius all game.
