Rooting for a Lions win and a better Giants draft pick.
Last week was my first experience really cheering for the Lions - I wanted Megatron to shut that kid up and the Ravens need a year off, anyway. So, now that I've experienced that - holy crap, I don't know how you guys do it.
Anyway, go Lions and shred my G-Men!
(our team is an abomination)
(if you can't beat these Giants, trust me, your season was never going anywhere, anyway)

The Lions lost at home to the Bucs. This team can lose to anyone.
December 22nd, 2013 at 4:49 PM ^
Management may have gotten through to some of the players that flat out quit last week that jobs are on the line, but the Giants can't get around one nasty detail - they suck. This team is not run of the mill terrible. They are atrocious.
December 22nd, 2013 at 4:55 PM ^
But they still are a talented team.
Atrocious is what the Lions have been for most of this decade.

That would put them up a game on the Cowboys. The Bears are going to get steamrolled on the ground.

Win and they still have a one game lead. Plus, they just got smashed by the Vikings. I think it's safe to say that they will come out ready to play.

December 22nd, 2013 at 4:40 PM ^
It could matter for their seeding though, couldn't it?

December 22nd, 2013 at 4:42 PM ^
So, you're saying when a team has a must win game next week they will take this week off? I completely disagree.
December 22nd, 2013 at 4:51 PM ^
will come out lackadasical when they just got curbstomped by the Vikings?
Also, the Bears don't need to win. If they lose they'll still have a shot at the division next week v the Packers. So it's true for both teams.
December 22nd, 2013 at 5:03 PM ^
Actually, if the Lions win out and the Bears lose 1 game, the Lions win the division because of the tie breaker.
December 22nd, 2013 at 5:04 PM ^
week.
December 22nd, 2013 at 5:15 PM ^
i don't disagree, I was just stating the facts. This football season has been hard on combo Michigan/Lions fans. Nothing is ever easy.
December 22nd, 2013 at 5:00 PM ^
It means nothing to Phily as Dallas wins the tie-breaker.
December 22nd, 2013 at 5:13 PM ^
is a good thing.
December 22nd, 2013 at 4:44 PM ^
I know the Cowboys are eliminated if they lose next week (8-8 = no playoffs), period, but is it the same situation for the Eagles or can they get in at 9-7?
If they can get in at 9-7, this is not a meaningless game for the Eagles.

there.
December 22nd, 2013 at 4:28 PM ^
I'm convinced I will never see a lockdown Lions secondary.
December 22nd, 2013 at 4:56 PM ^
To be fair with the new rules of the NFL, in addition to more pass first teams, I doubt we ever see a true lockdown secondary for anyone again.
December 22nd, 2013 at 4:28 PM ^
when the team needs it.
December 22nd, 2013 at 4:29 PM ^
I am in full on hockey season mode. I no longer give a shit about the Lions after they choked down the stretch. Same old Lions.
December 22nd, 2013 at 4:35 PM ^
This whole scoring play, commercial, kickoff, commercial routine that the NFL puts on is seriously getting old. Every time someone scores you might as well leave for 10 minutes.
December 22nd, 2013 at 4:42 PM ^
Two losing teams but the one with the worse record will win and keep the team with slim playoff chances out of the playoffs.
December 22nd, 2013 at 4:44 PM ^
So how do the Lions lose this one? 100 yard kick return to end the game?
December 22nd, 2013 at 4:46 PM ^
Stafford is such garbage. He has to be the worst QB under pressure that I have ever seen.

TD Packers

Hell of a play there by Stafford

There's the Reggie Bush we know and love.

Well at least I'm not a cubs fan.

Classic Lions. Just gotta enjoy the show i guess
December 22nd, 2013 at 5:08 PM ^
Lions have a lot of money at the DT spot more than anything.....DE is still a weak spot and is why the DL doesn't dominate at all. Depending on Willie Young and a rookie on the edge wont get the job done.
Also, dont even get me started on the charmin secondary.
December 22nd, 2013 at 5:10 PM ^
They also need CB's and a #2 receiver.
December 22nd, 2013 at 5:13 PM ^
Hey! Charmin is squeezably soft. The Lions secondary is not so squeezable.
Edit: Though I hope that guy is OK.
December 22nd, 2013 at 5:09 PM ^
No team in sports is more frustrating to watch.
December 22nd, 2013 at 5:10 PM ^
A lot of you guys are probably really fun to hang out with.
December 22nd, 2013 at 5:12 PM ^
Yet another 2nd half collapse.
This is the most gutless team I have ever seen. This team lacks heart and determination.tThey are soft.
December 22nd, 2013 at 5:15 PM ^
It's the first half Quattro.
