Raiola picked a great week to get a suspension, the protection without Warford has been awful since we're on our 3rd string guard because Swanson has to move to Center.

they called the most ticky-tack 'facemask' against levy on what would've then been a 3rd and goal from the 8 yd line.   instead, first and goal on the 2 and they score 10 seconds later (rodgers didn't get in either, that was also was a b.s. call)

but then they miss not 1, not 2 ,but 3 plays in the span of 5 where stafford got hit in the head and they should've penalized GB if they're going to call that horse scat on us.   first play was that slide at the end of the scramble.  then he got hit in the head on 3rd down, a head-to-head shot, and on fourth down.   all of them were light, but come on, call that crap both ways.

sorry it went over your head.   all 3 of those were pretty light, as i noted in the post.  my real objection was to the extremely critical call of a 'tab' (your word) to the face mask by levy that turned what would've been a 3rd and goal from the 8 where the lions D has been doing well, into a first and goal from the 2.

if they are going to call 'tabs' on the lions, they need to call 'tabs' on GB.

I know it’s real easy to get frustrated with some of Matthew Stafford’s bad throws during the course of a game. Though he’s never had the chance to play behind a great offensive line in Detroit even when his guys are healthy. Some people just ignore how important that is to a QBs success. Green Bay’s Oline is so good that Aaron Rodgers can stand back there with ONE LEG and not worry about escaping any pass rush. Look how Stafford is always running for his life!

the Stafford experiment? 0-16 on the road vs teams with winning records. He has more offensive weapons than any other QB except maybe Peyton. He's a choke artist.

Although I do agree that it's time to start looking around for other QBs. But the Lions issues are an  incompetent offensive coordinator and head coach who want to run Manball NFL style with a lineup designed for a more wide open attack. They changed the blocking schemes and playbook and coached it very poorly. What resulted was the mess we saw this season.

Back when they drafted him I thought Stafford wasn't consistent enough. He was maddeningly inconsistent at UGA and has proven to be so at the NFL level. I don't know if he is salvagable at this point. It's frustrating because he is talented.
